I tell all customer I can be up to a week late and my normal routine is 5 weeks.

Works really well and it's a good selling point if you come in a few quid more than what they were expecting

We work on a monthly set up. If a days work is due in week 3 for example, it will be done any day that week.

I never tell customers a certain day we will be coming or coming back.

I just print out the whole week from george.  its split into areas so pick a area, check the total amount and then decide if its 1,2 or 3 days work and start.

I do plan a route from that to make it more efficient so I dont ride around like a headless chicken.

route planner - enter your addresses and it sorts it to the fastest/ most fuel efficient route. It worked for me 👍

A bit of common sense goes a long way in this game. It's up to you whether you want to go 4 weekly, monthly, 5 weekly, 6 weekly etc etc. The only sure thing, is that someone who doesn't have a clue about the area you work in will come on here and know your round better than yourself and tell you you're doing it all wrong.................... Oh, and that  it's all underpriced.

week 1  starts on the first Monday of the month, week 2 second monday and so on
what happens when there are 5 mondays in a month

That's when you have the week off
The week beginning 31 August  is the next scheduled  week off and back to it for 20 days on 7Th Sept
I used to work 4/8 weekly but found it difficult to plan time off, this way shows me when to book holidays
Tony

I use week 5 as the beginning of the next months work. 4 weekly cycle means every 4 weeks. just keep carrying on :P

I just have mine on a rota which is supposed to be six weekly, but they're always a few days behind.
I want my work life to be as informal and stress free as possible.
Spent most of my working life working to timetables and deadlines it was something I wanted to get away from when I
started window cleaning.

I second that! I'm always at least a week late with either 4, 6 or 8 weeklies... oh and I also tend to "favour" higher priced stuff !

Ie, if I've got a load of £10-12 jobs overdue and £20-25 jobs just due, the 20 quidders get done first.
+1 always about a week late. dont know how you can be bang on time every month all it takes is a couple of bad weather days & your screwed.

any day that week on a 4 weekly cycle, cant guarantee a day or time due to weather/being arsed.
i prioritise the jobs i like doing best doesnt always mean there the best paid just the most stress free.
