Shane as you can see as with most topics on here its only a matter off time before the roaring and chest beating starts.
Fact is you will be every bit as quick doing 4 or 5 terraced fronts with a trolley as messing about with hoses on a public
road.
At the end of the day why risk it, different if there was no other way.

no he wont sean!he ll defo be slower with a backpack/trolley esp if their filthy!he ll spend half his time filling the ruddy thing up! ;D

i know.been there.done that.if its a side street he ll be fine with his hose over the road(unless its a900!)theres always one! ;D

Dazmond I know your credibility has taking a nosedive since you started harping on about Vision but this takes you to
a new low.
I do about 12 terrace backs using my trolley as its the only way they can be done and yes on the first clean they did take
a bit longer about one to two hours over the 12, but it wasn't because I was constantly filling barrels it was because I was
cleaning the horrendous filthy frames with a bucket of soapy water and a cloth, for the uppers I used a cloth on attached to
a pole, so no ladder work.
Now I actually think I'm slightly quicker with the trolley as I try to do them with as little water as possible so tend to scrub and rinse faster.
But at the end of the day even if it does take a bit longer then tell the customers this and charge a bit extra to cover the time.

Sean, out of interest if no one agree's with you, why is it that their credibility/integrity (what ever you want to call it) come into question?

I agree there's alot of bullpoope, but this post is quite ironic, as you start beating your own chest at the end...

For the record, i ageee with you that a trolley would be easier with a load of terrace houses, it just seems that every post you get involve in you go out your way to find soneone to disagree with ...

Just saying like

I see you didn't spot there's always one in Dazmonds post so maybe if I'd put a smiley face at the end of my comment then
it would be more acceptable to you.
O.K. maybe it was a bit childish to retaliate but its early and I'm grumpy. (well I'm always grumpy so that's no excuse )
As for the beating of the chest comment, I was referring to what happens when somebody dares to mention health and safety
on here and it wasn't directed towards you.
We cant even say we got into wfp because its safer, now it has to be about speed.
As for disagreeing, do you want to visit a forum where everybody agrees with everybody.

Personally, i'd use a backpack or trolley, just for peace of mind.
The other day some idiot walked right into my warning cone on the pavement (big heavy weighted one). He was playing with his phone and not even looking where he was going.  Do I trust people...NO!  ;D

Let me get this straight, you have reduced the runs and spotting you get since starting to use Vision and it has restored the
sun damaged shine to the frames.
Yes laugh away Dazmond.

if its a busy main road then id use a backpack mate.i do for one or two jobs where its tricky with a van mount.

for side streets then yes use the van mount and trail the hose across the road.i do this all the time with no problems.

who on earth would "report you" for trailing a hose across a road?its hardly the crime of the century! ;D

put a cone out and crack on! 8)

One of my customers neighbours freaked when my hose lay across 2 feet of lawn
OCD  freaks!!!!!

My problem is not that I don't trust people its that I don't trust insurance companies, why do you think most companies
are now so obsessed with health and safety ? its in part  to make sure that if the worst should happen they don't give the insurance companies any wriggle room to get out off paying.
You've got to watch your backs guys, public liability insurance doesn't give you a free hand to do anything you like
they will refuse to pay out if they believe you where working in an unsafe manor.

Yep I also stopped using a cone when some Muppet nearly capsized her pram with child when she pushed it into the cone.

Stop it.

Look in reality if you pull up on a street and pull the hose out of the van and connct a brush it must be quicker, as the set up time is less.

I used vision last week to do a job, I done insides wfp without anything and done outsides with wfp & vision,  I defo felt the difference with the brush gliding over the glass as opposed to the insides was loads of dragging, am going to do insides again with vision, will also be doing a glass roof with it.

There was defo an improvement with the vision
