Cleaning in high winds is just crazy .
Even with just pure water it still causes problems .
Were now recieving second orders now for vision and had some Excellant postive feedback .
Also it seems to sell well to a few in Holland , crazy - lol .

Like Jonny says vision is adapting to persons demands

sean how do you think i can afford luxury holidays every year in 5 star hotels?

own 2 vehicles, a van for work and a car for leisure?

can afford extreme poles?

can buy what i want when out shopping(within reason!)and afford to eat out in nice restaurants a few times a week?

.....its not by having a day off when the weathers bad thats for sure! ;D ;D
Where's what's best for the customer in all this?

who said anything about whats best for the customer?im out to make money in this game mate.customers are cash cows.

obviously i try and provide a good service at all times but if the clean is a bit below par than my normal cleaning then ill happily call back and re clean.

as ive said before i cant remember the last time i had a complaint until this last week.it was a couple of years ago at least.
This is just bullpoop. You don't try to provide a good service at all times. It was blowing a gale on Monday and anyone interested would have known the windows would be in poope after an hour. If you had that many complaints then I bet everything you did that day was a mess, just some were too polite or didn't notice in time to say anything. If that's how you operate, and you obviously do by your comments above, that's find but don't bullpoop us with 'I try to do a good job', you don't care. You just want to get paid and do barely a good enough job not to loose customers, which again is fine if that's how you choose to operate.

I hated the slow rinsing with vision. I now love it. I use less of it. I can see the bubbles which helps me see the water flowing down the glass. I use fan jets and have pump flat out. Today I was faster than ever. Thought I would use more water but NO  :o
I am sticking with it. Just for the shine. My last bottle does seem as strong though.
Also I agree it doesn't mix, or should I say, the results arnt constant. Some times its stronger than others

Of course he wants to get paid, he wants to earn a good living and not sit at home watching pornhub everytime there's a little wind or rain.
Some of the comments here are just pathetic. We have no control of the weather, windows will always get dirty again after we've cleaned them whether it's a few hours, a day or a week later and most customers with any sort of common sense know this.
I work In wind up to a certain point, rain and and even extreme cold. I had 1 complaint last year which I think Is very good going.
My customers know I work in all weathers and are happy for me to do so, that way I can keep a very tight schedule and almost guarantee the next date I will be round to clean there windows again.

Dazmond likes his holidays, those holidays need to be paid for and that wont happen by sitting on his *** 30% of the year because of the weather.
As much as we need to keep the customer happy we also need to keep ourselves happy with what we earn or it becomes pointless running a business.

Good , Vision is a new product and a new method . A few persons have struggled with it in the first few days and then they get use to dosing it to their requirements and I get phone call after phone call demanding that we never stop selling vision . A few have bought a bottle and then a week or two later bought Triple's packs to make sure they have enough

Lol

I've cleaned in ridiculous weather.
Weather I definitely wouldn't pay my own window cleaner in.
But my customers paid me.
I used to work in 'what I could get away with' while I was building.
Now I work in almost no matter what.

Same with GoCardLess. I'd never sign up to that as a customer, never in a million years! But as the originator, it's the best thing since sliced bread-and I tell my customers that! (Not that I wouldn't sign up-just that it's good)

You make it sound like Dazmond made the windows dirty. He cleaned them, they got dirty again..... Isn't that just the way with it? Do you not clean windows for days before a storm for fear the storm will make them dirty again?

We clean windows, they get dirty, we clean them again........

No what he's saying is if your prepared to clean windows in weather that will have them dirty again in a few hours then
you don't care if you do a good job or not.
But your right we cant control how long the windows stay clean but would you not agree it would be nice for the customer
if they where still clean when they come home from work on the day they where cleaned.

A good working ethic is important but so ( for me at least ) is a clear conscience.
I would not be happy cleaning windows in weather conditions I would not be prepared to pay a window cleaner myself.
This has been mentioned by a couple of posters in this thread already.
Plenty here regard themselves as professional, surely knowing when to quit to maintain good customer service levels and expectations forms part of being professional ?

God knows how many other customers windows are crap as ive cleaned all day today in very strong wind as well!

^I'd say probably a lot of them, and if you did continue to clean in such conditions you can probably expect a few more complaints.

The best wfp in the world and wet weather gear will amount to nothing if a window is dirty again within a matter of hours.

Too many here seem obsessed with profit and targets, so what if you fall behind schedule by a day or two ? the works still there and the money will still be earnt and your customers will be less likely to complain.

I agree entirely. As I posted earlier in this thread, I picked up two jobs this week from a windie who 'cleans regardless in all weathers'. He also has a nice new van, all sign written, looks the pristine biz and has a nice uniform he wears.

Living in a coastal town (the same one as Mr Bitt), some people actually object to paying for window cleaning when the windows are covered in salt a few hours after being cleaned. All it takes is a bit of common sense and being a bit flexible and not the 'they will have their windows cleaned when I decide' brigade.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

If I (or one of the franchisees) had three complaints in a day, I'd call all of the customers and say we'd had a problem with our equipment so there might be a problem.  I'd encourage them to have a  look and I'd ask them if they needed a reclean.

I would also consider using pure water on the reclean.

I was going to be slightly sarcy, but on reflection I think you are right. However, unless we are talking gale force winds or freak weather, I find it hard to believe that it could be just the weather causing the problem. I'd pin it on either the TDS or an additive in combination with the weather and/or a high TDS.
