Last week or so when ive gone back to van to put reel / pole away after cleaning a house theres been a very very slight wiring burning smell ... checked all connections, felt pump to see if hot as suspected that was on its way out but seemed ok ... controller wasn't hot ... in fact all seemed ok ?
Tonight got home and opened side door to turn controller off and controller was off already ?? tried turning it back on but nowt.
Fortunately its a 2 man system so still got other pump and controlled wired up ... can controllers just fizzle out and die as looks like that's what was smelling though it wasn't getting hot ?
Hi Ian
The burning smell is not good something has shorted either on the controller PCB, Cable or connector.
Which controller is you have and what is its age?
The pump getting hot may just be a sign of slightly worn motor brushes. Or the pump may be running quite hard depending on the flow rates and pressure in the system.
Again again age can be a factor.
