Question for Alex!
« on: December 20, 2014, 02:15:43 pm »
I'm making my own version of exceed style base fitting and I just need two rubbers to make something similar and was wondering can you or anyone tell me the exact size of the no1 pole internal and external, Ive only got a tape measure and would like the exact size so I can get rubbers that fit snug!!

Cheers got it pal but I want to fit an almost fixed fitting so I don't have to hold the male side pipe as I fit female connection on, that's where a rubber/plastic bung style fitting like exceed's would fit perfect if I got the right size with a centre hole snug enough for the pole hose and the hose clamp would stop it pushing back into the no1 pole!

Just send your pole in to me, and I will convert your pole for you.
I have the kits to convert Gardiner poles. We have all the pole dimensions here.

cheers for reply guys, ive sent you an email Alex, Steven thanks for the offer however i need the pole everyday and im just going to sauce some rubber sleeves myself to cover the rectus and internal pole.
Dean i dont think it will wear that much if any as your still pulling pole hose through like you would any pole?

No it won't cause any wear in the sections this is a fact, not to worry about.
we are offering a service of fitting tubeless kits professionally.
to work effectively, it must have the sleeve ejector.
please email me on website under contacts.
Could get you converted ready for new year.

If you want, I can send you the kit? As long as you feel competent to DIY.

Looks very easy pal that's why I was going to do it myself, I've always tinkered with things myself over the years think I've got it in my blood and probably why I was a mechanic for 10 years just a shame the money wasn't half as good as cleaning windows!!
How much are your kits or just to sell the fittings Steven as I figure it will only cost me a few quid if I find the right rubber or plastic sleeves as I've already got the rectus and pole hose etc
Looking at your kit it's just the sleeves I need to sauce similar?
