Only if its used correctly and work is timeously updated.

We still use George, but often only update the days work when I get home in the afternoon and then balance the day's takings up. So I'm not a good example I'm afraid.

our response time is in real time.

What does this mean?

Your response time is in REAL time - as opposed to unreal time?

Or is it just some sort of modern-day speak which really just means "we like to make out something special about ourselves which doesn't actually mean anything to anyone, just it sounds 'coolio'?"

Lee Burbridge , if communication is key then why are you ignoring me and my requests to send me some van stickers for MGWC which i joined months ago. I emailed you originally and they never came , i have asked you on here and you did not reply, i called you personally 2 weeks ago and left a message and you didnt reply. What do i have to do to get a response from you. I paid your organisation £80 or so to get some van stickers and i have recieved nothing. Will you reply to this?

The parcel delivery drivers use this system and are the best example. He drops the parcel off, recipient signs on his tracker/recorder and when he returns to the van he plugs the unit back into the system and it automatically updates the base station/depot that the parcel has been delivered along with a name, signature and time. So this is real time.

In the old days they would record the days work on a worksheet which would probably only be updated the following day manually back at the depot.

Real time recording has many benefits for those industries; vehicle tracking, driver productivity monitoring, estimated delivery times, etc., but I can't believe window cleaning would be in the same category as a multi-drop deliveries. Yes, it is a way of tracking a second van, cleaner/s productivity, etc., but it would rely on the cleaners updating each job as they are done. They aren't 'forced' to do it as a multi-drop parcel delivery driver is.

I'm surprised Lee has not responded to Rogue Traders post! This merely rubber stamps what Rogue Traders has been saying!  :(

Hi buddy, look these things are there to use if you want or not. I can recommend it. Spoke to my employee today for his feedback on Voxer, for example, it has helped a lot and made him more efficient in my customers eyes. For a free app you cannot complain. No more, " I will let the office know" or " will get back to you on that"...works for me and a know it would work for others :)

This opening post was for those working a team and how some devices can benefit that team. Somebody not able to reach me as of yet about stickers is something different  ;D
