our response time is in real time.
What does this mean?
Your response time is in REAL time - as opposed to unreal time?
Or is it just some sort of modern-day speak which really just means "we like to make out something special about ourselves which doesn't actually mean anything to anyone, just it sounds 'coolio'?"
The parcel delivery drivers use this system and are the best example. He drops the parcel off, recipient signs on his tracker/recorder and when he returns to the van he plugs the unit back into the system and it automatically updates the base station/depot that the parcel has been delivered along with a name, signature and time. So this is real time.
In the old days they would record the days work on a worksheet which would probably only be updated the following day manually back at the depot.
Real time recording has many benefits for those industries; vehicle tracking, driver productivity monitoring, estimated delivery times, etc., but I can't believe window cleaning would be in the same category as a multi-drop deliveries. Yes, it is a way of tracking a second van, cleaner/s productivity, etc., but it would rely on the cleaners updating each job as they are done. They aren't 'forced' to do it as a multi-drop parcel delivery driver is.
