I have to comment on the pathetic use, by so many, presumably uneducated English people when referring to the vast area of land, north of Carlisle, known as Scotland.
Scotland is a huge area, with a population of around 6,000,000 individuals, who live in cities, towns, and villages.
It's nearly as far from Gretna to John o Groats, as from Gretna to London!
I could just as easily tell a story of someone from '' England '' who was lent a machine to help him get his c/c business off the ground, with the option to purchase after a few months had passed. This was a year ago and I'm still waiting.
Normally I ignore this kind of stupidity and regard it as personal failing, in someones education, but by referring to a Country or possibly even a City, rather than the individual, you are tarring hundreds, or thousands, with the same brush.
