Machine now sold!

Just like to say there is a guy in Scotland who continualy wastes people's time, I have never come across a more un-reliable person in my life.

I must have turned away 3 potential buyers due to this guy and John Flynn + one other member will also back me up who have both had the same problem.

You know who you are!   >:( >:(

Why not tell the board who this is. There was a warning about a guy based in the East of Scotland who '' borrowed '' a machine and never returned it, or made any payment, to the lender.

I was sure the same person was posting on here recently and alerted the moderators, but never heard back from them.

Incidentally, I happen to be Scottish and have lent out a machine over a year ago, to someone in the South of England, who is still to return the machine , or payment.

Perhaps you should use the town name, rather than the country when commenting on this kind of situation.

I have to comment on the pathetic use, by so many, presumably uneducated English people when referring to the vast area of land, north of Carlisle, known as Scotland.

Scotland is a huge area, with a population of around 6,000,000 individuals, who live in cities, towns, and villages.

It's nearly as far from Gretna to John o Groats, as from Gretna to London!

I could just as easily tell a story of someone from '' England '' who was lent a machine to help him get his c/c business off the ground, with the option to purchase after a few months had passed.       This was a year ago and I'm still waiting.

Normally I ignore this kind of stupidity and regard it as personal failing, in someones education, but by referring to a Country or possibly even a City, rather than the individual, you are tarring hundreds, or thousands, with the same brush.

Are you for real,

I wasn't refering to Scotland in any way, you must have one hell of a chip on your shoulder if you think I made these comments just to have a dig at Scottish people.

I didn't announce his name because I didn't know if I was allowed to on the board.

In fact I have been in conversation with a guy from Glasgow (which I believe is in Scotland) who has been messed about by the very same person, he has in fact named the bloke on another board.

We, are not the people with chips on our shoulders, as we have an identity, a proud history, we even run our neighbours government for them and in spite of the propaganda, our tiny nation ( just 10% of the UK ) has been subsidising the UK economy for years, while being asset stripped.

Not going any further with this......................

You are missing the point, about generalising, rather than being specific. There is nothing malicious or bloody minded, or feelings of inferiority in the comment.

It's a frequently discussed topic, on holiday, with other Europeans, who find the English ( generalisation) to be, less 'appealing' than the Scots or Irish and that's the background to my comment...........

I just wondered when a Scotsman living in England ceases to be a Scot.

When Rob goes to Spain will his children become Spanish.

in the unlikely event  he has a child in Spain will that be Spanish

I think I am saying we are living in an international world as a nation we should be proud of being British.

There is a probability that many of my descendants were killed and raped by the English but I do not hold it against English people.

Others were probably killed by the French.
