I can't believe that you take your burd away for a romantic weekend and then go shopping for waterproof clothing. Kinky bugger.

ive had 3 pairs in 6 years dave.they normally last around 18-24 months before they are knackered if worn every day for work.only had one pair leak and that was after nearly 2 years of wear!i think you were just born unlucky!!

I say this every time and everyone ignored me. Dr martens 'for life boots'. Guaranteed replaced for life when worn out. Totally waterproof and still on first pair after 4 years. They look great as well
Probably going to go for work boots next - even though I'm not a fan of steel toe caps. They just seem better value for money.Doc Martens? Had them years ago and found them lethal on wet grass.I've gone through about four pairs of cheap waterproof boots, a pair of guaranteed waterproof Hitec boots (lasted two weeks). About six pairs of Berghaus Boots (just don't last) one pair of Brashers (lethal soles that completely wore out in under a year but never leaked). Just trawling the internet now for something decent.
I could be wrong but are work boots cheaper than hiking boots because they are vat free?
