Johnny, you can get the Aquatap here

http://www.windowcleaningstuff.co.uk/brushes-poles-accessories/997-aquatap.html

It is a totally different product to the A/dapter and made by someone else.  They are a great bit of kit and almost weightless, compared to the A/dapter.

I've tried both and I prefer the Aquatap.

JD - yep we all have differing experiences, just as Ben found Paul to be like I have found Steven - personally Paul always responded quickly, knew answers to queries and problems, and trialled a mk3 AD Prototype and several differing types of hose, so maybe when you enquire about products and all you get is barely a sentence in response you do feel very underwhelmed...

the AD is a great piece of kit, but reading posts on the other thread I fear for it's future, today my first aqua tap arrived, it will be trialled for a couple of weeks and if proves effective, reliable, and as easy to use as the AD I'll be fitting them too all the other poles.

The AquaTap is not there to knock anything else off the shelf, its there as a solution to a problem some people may have with any of the multiple ways of controlling water.  Just because you love a product doesn't mean you have to hate a product you don't fancy or use.  Everyone is different and its good to have choice. Choice keeps prices down and/or quality and innovation high.

Another thing to consider about water control and the reason the AquaTap came to be.  Although better than nothing other devices such as taps on brushes and remote controls don't save enough water.  The AquaTap is the only device that is just as easy to stop and start the water flow between all windows as it is to keep it pumping.  You don't have to do anything except turn the pole.  The pole is in your hand already and turning it becomes second nature so NO extra time is added whether you use it or not.  Now I have used remote controls so lets look at them. Its either in your hand all the time, fastened to your pole, or on your belt. In your hand all the time its getting wet and if its ready to press its interfering with your grip on the pole.  On your pole and you may not be holding the pole in the right place to press the button so you have to reposition the pole so you can. Also interferes if you want to add and take away sections. On your belt, you have to fiddle about to get it in your hand, and then try and find the button you press.  Now although these things take seconds it still stops the person using it to turn the water off preferring to waste the water rather than the time.  A tap on the brush saving even less water than a remote control.  There are advantages of saving water and lots of people see the advantages and want to do that, its up to them, and that is what the AquaTap is for. Some people don't mind wasting water, again that's their choice and up to them, but its worth giving it some though as to what the extra water saved could mean to them money wise at the end of the day. For some it could mean nothing at all, but for others it could add much much more than the price of the device even after the first week of use.
