Don't pre warn. Just get on with the change.

Get your facts straight about WFP and have a letter as a back up.

when I switched, someone on here mailed me a info leaflet telling the custy what pure water cleaning is and how it works, I posted them about a month before I started in order for them to digest it,i didn,t get a single complaint, I think the custies apprieciate you keeping them in the loop. I also added that it may take a couple of cleans to get them perfect due to years of dirt being ground into the frames seals etc..they did like the idea of getting the frames done for free, just make sure you push the benefits and you,ll be fine..

I found it better to inform them by a note attached to the bill when I did the previous (trad) clean.  Just a brief note - they're not interested in technicalities.  May be worth mentioning that the first clean may be imperfect due to the purified water mixing with old detergent film (it can cause some spotting even if you are thorough).

I just didn't tell them.  If anyone came out to ask me just said its a great new method of cleaning, means i can clean all your frames now for the same price, and you don't have to worry about me having a fall on your property.  just be really confident and positive about it.  no need to send letters or emails, its not difficult to understand  or explain

^ this, although it's my first day wfp tomoro  ;D wind permitting.  I probably won't say anything to those that aren't in.  People on here have suggested in the past that, if you bring their attention to it, they'll hunt down even the slightest imperfection and complain.  I'm lucky that I have a good round of great, friendly customers, most of whom I see and chat to regularly so I don't foresee a problem, though if I do lose their custom I won't let it get to me as wfp means I can expand my round.

Anyone who's in, have a chat with them.  The houses I hope to do tomorrow have windows too high for my ladder, so I'm hoping my pole can now get to them, though it's only an 18ft pole so might not make it, a 22 definitely should but they were out of stock...  Plus two have decking, and wet decking is a big no with ladders!

You obviously know your round, and this time of year it's still dark-ish when people get home from work, or if they're home after the school run last thing they'll be doing is checking the windows.  Also have a think about how often they clean the insides of their windows - if the insides are dirty, and you do as good a job as you can on the outsides, then you'll be fine.
