I bought a pair of these 3 winters ago and never once had wet feet. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blackrock-Leather-Safety-Chukka-Midsole/dp/B003JNE8T4/ref=sr_1_7?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1383425238&sr=1-7&keywords=work+boots+menWhat you have to do is buy a tin of nickwax or G.wax from an outdoor shop, smear the wax all over the leather like butter, then use a heat gun or hairdryer on a low setting to melt the wax into the leather. One treatment lasts a whole winter. These boots are really hard waring, comfortable to wear, and as cheap as chips.Never once in 3 years have I had wet feet when waring these boots. Like many others I wear trecking trainers for the summer, had wet feet with them many times.
I've just brought a pair from mountain warehouse £35 reduced from£65 sales rep guaranteed waterproof and breathable so will keep you posted plus I've kept receipt haha
I bought some Stanley waterproof Riggers yesterday. Down from £60 to £40. Very nice to.I have a pair of £180 Alt Berg walking boots. There is no way on earth I would wear them or similar to work. The treads aren't designed for concrete and would wear quickly. I would rather buy a new work pair every winter for £40. Besides, Rigger boots look cool.

Good luck with them.

The cheap karrimoor £35 to £45 from go outdoors are waterproof but the sole wears away after about a year then they leak from the sole but for that money its a new pair every year. now on my 3rd pair
