I just did another test and it had gone down

90 was giving me 1.5 L at brush
100 was giving me 1.6 at brush

I then checked and cleaned the pump strainer and got

90 with 1.6 L
100 with 1.7L
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !

Yes , you are right , i thought they were british , not that it matters really .
So i am being restricted by 2 LPM due to my hoses and jets .
I wont be able to pump any more than 1.7 LPM with my setup i have , i am just thinking ahead now for winter when the water is thicker , i reckon i will be lucky to get 1.5 LPM then !
Looks like an upgrade to the 5LPM model is on the cards for winter then !

They are made in America. Unfortunately, Daqua (Doug Atkinson) advised that there is a badly manufactured Chinese copy being sold in the UK atm by some wfp suppliers.

Williamson pumps were offering either a 5.2lpm or a 3.78lpm pump for window cleaning back in those days. It was before the first Varistream flow controllers came out. The repeated on/off cycles with low pressure switch setting (65psi) was causing premature pressure switch failure of the 5.2lpm pump.

12 years ago Willaimson pumps advised us to buy a 3.78 liter pump to replace the 5.2lpm pump we were using.  Their reasoning was that the pump would run for longer periods with a lower flow and wouldn't cycle as much.  We were still using 1/2" garden hose and brushes with 3mm jets.  Williamson pumps had just launched the Varistream. I opted for the pump but that pressure switch also failed within a couple of months, so I reluctantly purchased a Varistream.  (It turned out to be one of the best accessories for wfp along with the original Aquadapter imo.)

The 3.78 lpm pump still runs every day and still has the burnt our pressure switch inside. There is a noticeable difference between the flow rate of the 3.78lpm pump and the other 5.2lpm pumps we have.

The US gallon is about 4 liters in our money.  It doesn't make much difference as the flow rate under pressure and load drops anyway.

I keep threatening to replace this pump with a faster one but my son uses it and he is happy with the flow. On occasion I use 'his' pump.  I work with 4 on 'my' digital Varistream but push 'his' Varistream controller to 7 for about the same flow.

The pumps are identical. The only different is the cam on the 3.78lpm pump has a more shallow angle.

The pumps also draw exactly the same amount of current (amps) when mine is at 4 and his is at 7.

This  is exactly what i was told 12 years ago by Varitech , i took it all with a pinch of salt as i thought they wanted the extra sale of the Varistream dial controller !
They gave me 2 system options....60 PSI Flojet with a return to tank feed for when deadended.
                                                               Or ....100PSI  3.8LPM Shurflo with Varistream .
As i was on a tight budget i went with the Flojet option , when i asked why the 3.8 and not the 5.2 they told me of the issue you mention above , they said its better to have a pump working at a higher pace as with all the on/off cycles it would demand more from the battery , also i think the 3.8 is a lower amp draw to begin with .
Anyway , i went with Flojet and was soon suffering flat batteries as the pump was constantly running , within 6 months i changed over to the Shurflo and Varistream option !
I still run the pump now and it hasnt ever needed a PS to date , the Varistream has sadly gone to ground !
I'm so lazy I'm getting tired of it !
