Hi,

I will be attending course along with my son who works with me part time when he's not loafing about at college.
I have attended up to 35 technical courses regarding telephony in my previous employment but have never attended a carpet cleaning course.
Anyone know the format etc ?

Gents

Just a question to the long established cleaners. Whats the reason going on the course after being in business so long.

Has something changed in the market?

Cheers

Neil,

I want to join  NCCA and they will not let me in unless I go on an aproved  course, and pass exam   Also although I have been on various courses ,  none our NCCA aproved.  although companies support NCCA

have   loads of information  manuals etc  you never  know it all.

Ian,

You'll still have to do an upholstery course ontop of the 2 day c/c one.

Arthur,
Possibly as opinions differ on this one.

Paul Pearce told me two years ago that if you passed your Carpet Cleaning  IICRC  you could take an exam for the Upholstery section of NCCA ENTRY EXAM.

But it may have changed.

Just going to wait and see.

HI Ian

It was not intened as a dig at anyone, I was just interested as yourself and Mike are both on it and was wondering why the time is right now.

Why do you want to join the NCCA now as you have been around a few years. What will it add for your business?

I am interested because will it improve the number of jobs you get and does the customer care because 99% of them have never heard of the NCCA or IICRC to even ask.

If they had more advertising in the directories it might be worth it. To small and not allways in the right place in the directory to make people notice.

I would not mind paying more to Join if they advertisied to the people in the right way. Its alright CC's knowing about them but surely we want the Customers to know about them above all else. For me they should at the very least do a deal with Thosmson and Yell to get a bigger slot at the front of the books. In my yellowpages they have a credit card sizes add about four pages in.

I maybe totaly wrong but it just my thoughts about them and thats why I am always wondering about joining.

Cheers

Neil
