So you have an Ionic system? do you mean it is a water delivery only system and you make your water in a static tank with the Eagle IPC unit?

I too have an Ionic system but don't need to use their filters as the water is so soft where I live.

I got an Ionic system, and do buy refils from them but to be honest I havent bought any from them for just over two years now as I do maintain the system every day and although they state changing some every 300,000 l I still havent and have gone way over that and my water is still coming out at 0ppm, even the DI filter has still got the blue coloured resin in it and still has probably about 5/6 months of life left before I have to replace it, and I will only go by my tds as to when I need to change them

I have a pure2o system which is ionics tank and frame but with a normal 4040 system .

Best of both worlds and can get filters / resin from anywhere .

Hi

I have got the filters bolted to a static water tank.

Its the only system I've ever used so I don't know if there is a better way.

Thanks micheal .

I dont see the point in all the special filters when the 4040 does the same job cheaper .

It gets my tds down from 250 down to six from ro then 0 with resin .
And you csn buy pre filters , membrane and resin from anywhere .

whether you use a diy system or mftr fitted system regardless of brand - if you get 0 tds and have no problem with system how do you agree that its worth paying hundreds or 1000s more for a system?

i love the idea of ionics for more reasons than the system alone - ie service centres round the country quick and easy replacement of cartridges.

but i wonder of the likes of these machines are better suited to guys that do a lot of large commercial stuff and even multi man operators as oppose to the one man band?

would love an ionics but reality is that i couldnt justify the spend on my sized business unless it was 3 times the current size and then would i not just be busy paying for a system i could have got for half the price?

thoughts / debate or argument anyone? lol  ;D

Yeah me too. Actually Sam managed to get almost a year out of one colour change resin. Do you think thats normal? How many on here dont have a system like this but use a DI vessel.... how much resin do you use in a year?

Yeah the Ionic systems look nice and Ionic would term themselves as the Rolls Royce of the industry but there are much cheaper systems on the market now such as the GrippaMax and in the current climate cost is a factor wether you are buying refills or a complete system I think. Its something window cleaning business' are considering more so.......

I just got Sam to crack open an old Ionic blue resin cartridge and weigh its content. He didn't quite scrape it all out and it was still a little damp but it came to about 5kg. So thats £73.95+vat per 5kg. I have seen resin on offer in 25Kg bags for £65.00+vat. Does this mean that the Ionic resin is a higher grade than the 25kg bag? Would the 25kg bag resin last as long as the Ionic cartridge?

Pure2o give you best of both worlds , ionics crash tested tank and frame , proper 4040 ro system , good build quality and service and its made and fitted at the same place by the same people .

And they will price match , they actually beat grippamax by over a grand in my case .
