These were about a tenner each plus vat if I remember rightly. I was gonna order one, but glad I didnt as a standard hoselock female that I had, has worked... for now ;)

my CLX seems so useable again now ive took aqua-daptor off and put a standard angle adaptor with flipfast on and a brand new xtreme brush.ive took all sections off and give it a good flush out with water.

i reckon my clx has got another year left in it yet!happy days. ;D ;D

also the supermax seems much more manageable with an xtreme brush, carbon gooseneck and aqua-daptor hose.

im hoping these poles will last me a few years now!! ;D ;D ;D

james i bought both male and female metal connectors for my hose and hose reel.about £15 for them both.they seem VERY robust.well worth the money if they last a long time with no leaks IMO.

best wishes to you all

Yeah, with taking hose in and out all day you'd be wise to have these connections. My hose reel stays in my van so I should get away with the cheaper option  ;)

How often do you flush/wash your poles Daz?

How long had your CLX lasted you so far?

And, did you have Gardiners pole hose to begin with? Reasons for changing?

If that's tape on your SLX because of wear Daz, it's worth doing the epoxy resin fix for it. I've just done mine and it's back to its original condition. For how to go about it, go to 'you tube' - Gardiner pole systems and there's a video showing you what to do.   ;D
If I've got the tape bit all wrong, forget about what I've just said.   :P

i flush em out every couple of weeks mate but ive never taken each section apart on all 3 poles before and cleaned them.highly recommended though.

ive never liked gardiner pole hose.it isnt tough enough IMO.twists easily and doesnt fit in their push fit pole taps properly and keeps popping out of the tap under pressure.

CLX was used every day for a year until i bought the 25 ft SLX.ill be using it more often now as its a shorter closed length and is really good in tight spaces and run of the mill work with hardly any awkward windows! ;) ;D ;D

Sorry Daz, it's the supermax, it has a shiny bit on the first section and I thought it was tape. People tend to put it there coz of wear to the section, it stops it spinning round all the time by putting your clamp on a newer section of pole where it's not so worn. Anyhow, bear it in mind, coz through use over time it will happen and, there is a remedy.

Daz, Is that a quick release fitting to the reel? If so what's to stop it leaking once it wears a bit. I'd have thought the brass 90 degree swivel would have been better.

nic the shiney bit at the top of my supermax is a carbon gooseneck adaptor!the top sections are actually a 25ft SLX(an old one before the quick release version)and 25ft of the supermax is my slx pole next to it.ive kept the insulated base section of my slx obviously.
