No chance!!!!!!!!

960 / 4 = 240 panels per hour

4 a minute every minute for 4 hours, good luck!
Of course you can! You can get the whole site done in an hour with the right stuff!

Probably 4 hours

You couldn't even wet them all in 4 hours, nevermind clean them.
Yes we can! What you meant to say was "I DONT KNOW HOW to do it in 4 hours!"

clearly, you don't have the experience!!!!
Or maybe he does, that's why he knows. Have you ever cleaned a solar farm with 1000 panels Ben?

Call me a cynic but I have a few questions. Feel free to answer or completely ignore as you wish Steve.

Why are you not cleaning these large jobs yourself? Distance? Manpower?

Is it in the public domain any company that have 'won' one of these contracts from you? If not then why not?

Tell me to mind my own business, that's fine, but to me it looks a lot like you could be using the more expensive quotes to compare less favourably against your own in order to secure the jobs for yourself.

Another member on here called archer does e same. Comes on every so many months and asks for people to e-mail day rates and what they can do. I know loads of people have given him this info yet no-one has ever got any work? Suspicious?  or simply just finding out local companies prices so he can use this info for his own good?
Like I said on another post. The contract is already secured. We don't need educating HOW to get the job done, we already know. We just need it done to a high standard.

Steve you want the job doing to a high standard......then you say that it can be done in an hour, not with one guy no matter what equipment you've got!

I will answer the questions, I have nothing to hide. I am not cleaning SOME of these jobs myself due to distance mainly. I am in the midlands, so am well placed for lots of these sites, but not the ones in the south east or north east. I can cover the south west sites.
But man power does come into it. We are sorting a site with 17,000 panels on and another for 12,000. Plus we have other lines to our work. I would love to clean every single panel on every site in this single contract, but can't.

Why are companies that we currently deal with not in the public domain? That is their choice. I have said that I am happy for them to say who they are, but if they choose not to, that is up to them. I am also happy if they don't want to say who they are.

ALL sites that I have asked quotes for we have already secured. This is not a mission for me to guess prices. I did the number crunching years ago and I know I am where I need to be.

I hope this answers your questions and those of some of the other cynics there may be out there.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Maybe I'm wrong but IMO to be fully transparent, if you are using this site to look for quotes you should also be updating the threads with who has won each site, until then I'll remain sceptical.

Good luck regardless.

Crossed lines I suppose mate. Some would take that as you, I.e. the person. I take that as in you, the company. Sorry for any confusion. :)

No problem Steve, how long do you think it would take 1 man to clean?

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your interest again! We have found the company we would like to use in this instance.

Again, their competitive price seems to be because they are very close to the job. I am confident that we have found the right company as they have experience in solar farm cleaning, know how much they need to charge, know how long it will take and can also provide a reference from a current solar farm owner who they clean the panels for. All of this has given me confidence in their ability to carry out the job to the required standard.

Thank you all again for making contact. If you have left your details with us via email, we will keep these on file for future jobs that we will get.

Steve.

Has this contractor also requested to remain anonymous?

lol it's all a little cloak and dagger isnt it.

Im always sceptical of these companies who play a bit of donkey and carrot on here. It all seems a bit like a game from where the outsider is sat.

Yes. His choice. I said he can rave about it if he wants, but he said he preferred not to.
