Formula 90  ...  contains 'microsplitter '    + a few other things likely beneficial for effective cleaning.

Not sure about the misting Shaun ...   could be part of the prevent resoling philosophy  , use less chemical .

Foam...
Since i have been using Micro splitters i can say that the foam problem i would get with some of the Prochem products has been drastically reduced.
Will always ad a little de foamer just in case the custy has been using those awful foam spot cleaners!
Also i am led to believe that a MS needs very little dwell time compared to some other detergent based solutions.

I still give a relative 'wetting' I do like the fibres to get enough moisture in them but when applying mpower or nemesis which I no longer use the application was much heavier, not really my cup of tea I much prefer to leave the carpet dry after cleaning even when I use my tm the carpet was damper than I would have normally left it irrelevant if you like the product or not.

No matter what pre spray you use it has to come into intact with the dirt to do its job, so it's dependant on the depth of the carpet pile a light mist might work on a flat pile but anything deeper requires a heavier application.

I've used micro splitters  For 10yrs, I.ve tried practically every other prespray  that  has come onto the market...... I still use micro splitters 95% of the time on carpets  and 100% of the time on upholstery.

I'm not stupid ( some may disagree) I'm like every other carpet cleaner who is looking to make the job easier, if anything worked better that MS then I would be using it, why would I not?

It's the same with cold water rinsing, I have a lot of hassle creating hot water I would love to get rid of my diesel burner and use cold water but I went 3 months cold water rinsing then bit the bullet and reinstalled the burner. Cleaning is easier with hot water ( but not better)
