What is suppose to be the reason behind using 'microsplitter 'anyway

Most non 'microsplitter' carpet cleaning products contain ' Microsplitter ' ie phosphates anyway , so why not use the more complicated formulas for a better chance of easier cleaning .
The original marketed use of 'microsplitter' in carpet cleaning as far as i can google , it was suppose to solve a resoiling issue ( never proved ) and probably based on soap products not detergents ... and probably just marketing spiel anyway , also its suppose to be safer for the operator to use , although this is based on STP i believe not soda ash used in SPM . Also causes Eutrophication so cant be an eco chemical proper .
The Cold water thing seems to come along much later , probably from cleantalk , im sure they had their reasons to push cold water cleaning

But it seems obvious to me that if most other carpet cleaning products ( falling into the detergent category ) also contain phosphates then they should also work at least as well as ' microsplitter ' at a given temperature .
