NCCA membership is it worth it?

What are the benefits that existing members have experienced?

Yes it is worth it in my opinion, if you want to know why, you'll have to ring me 07538 089693, can't be bothered typing  ;D

So, from the lack of serious response to this post I can assume that the many members of this forum who are also NCCA members find absolutely no benefit to being members. ???

Can of worms???  :-\

I am in the 2nd year of membership now and get alot more in earnings from referrals than the cost of membership for the ncca, most jobs I get are high end customers and not ones who live in small 3 bed houses on rif raf estates that are only willing to pay £99.00 to have carpets cleaned even if it does only take us an hour  ;D

Absolutely correct. I was a member for several years and served no purpose other than to have one refferal.

Additionally, at the time it cost an extra £70 to have a link to your website from your profile which is astonishing for a few minutes work! That would have equated to more than £300 per year during 2003 just to be registered. I can find better ways of investing £300 so it's a no brainer for me.

I agree John (cloverleaf) the £70 for the link is a bit over the top for so little work. They should include the link for all paying members, if I'd have had time to attend the AGM I would have suggested it as it could make a difference in me and others renewing our membership next year.

Why not contact the NCCA yourself and see what the organisation can offer you.  Make your own decision.

I through out years ago it served no benefit to me either on getting business for me or when engaging the customer they weren't that interested as they had never heard if it, the straw that broke the camels back was when an old customer said to me that they weren't having me to clean the carpets this time as they had found another ncca cleaner who was cheaper.

I'm not going to push the ncca benefits for others to benefit and me to lose out.

I have done however it is nice to know what others think as well.

Potential benefits and actual benefits are often different.

if you contact the ncca yourself they are only going to give you reasons to join, they will not point out any reasons why you should not to join.

Just create your own organisation and get someone to design a nice logo for you. You'd be surprised how gullible most people are.  ;D

;D No I meant a membership of one LOL

If anything TACCA has more credibility in the short time it's been around than the likes of the NCCA
