Dark nights poor weather, I am thinking of collections on a Sunday to make use of day light hours.
Does anyone else collect on a Sunday?
Cheers Dave.
I totally get what you are thinking but surely people are going to be disgruntled if you go knocking on their door on a sunday .
I am trying to push payment slips as much as possible so as to reduce collecting but only got a small percentage at the moment , Hope ur keeping busy Dave

We live in a different part of the country to those in the South.
We tried self addressed envelopes - no cheques. We tried stamped self addressed envelopes - no cheques. We tried online banking - no payment. One of the other local window cleaners just lets the amount add up. They eventually send a cheque, but they aren't happy with the amount. He refuses to collect - but they don't see their debt as their problem.
We collect on a Friday evening and there are some that just don't have any money to hand. We have explained the reason that we leave a ticket is to give them notice to have money available when we call. Occassionally we get the "all I've got is a £5.00 note. I'll pay you the balance with the next clean." I appreciate times are harder but they always have cash for the smokes , drink and takeaways.
Starting to take a harder line with these messers.
Many years ago I heard of a window cleaner that charged an extra 50p if he had to come back and collect the money. In those days he cleaned a 3 bed semi in Billingham for £3.00. The old dears used to leave his money on the bedroom window cill long before he cleaned them.
I wonder if we could apply the same principle in our business?
