Sunday collections.
« on: November 27, 2012, 06:22:44 am »
Dark nights poor weather, I am thinking of collections on a Sunday to make use of day light hours.
Does anyone else collect on a Sunday?

                   Cheers Dave.

Loads pf people work Sundays, now.
It's old fashioned to think it's a day of rest for "nearly everyone else". You'll be saying they've just finished a roast and are busy watching The Love Boat, next.

:0 spot on, but too many of our traditions are going, Sunday roast is staying :)

I have always tried to keep to, if I can't earn enough Monday to Friday then im doing something wrong. But each to their own i was just saying my thoughts on it I guess I'm a little old fashioned. Nothing wrong with either just my way is better :)

No, I don't do it myself. I'm probably too concerned with what the customer would think (and lazy) but if it suits, why not.

I used to hate collecting ,to me it was harder than actually cleaning the windows.       Lot easier now with customers paying online, and sending cheques.

I totally get what you are thinking but surely people are going to be disgruntled if you go knocking on their door on a sunday .

I am trying to push payment slips as much as possible so as to reduce collecting but only got a small percentage at the moment , Hope ur keeping busy Dave  ;D ;D. Mike

collecting to me is spending more time but not getting anymore money.
Encourage customers to pay online on post a cheque or BACS, text them the night before and leave money out.
Make it easy for them to pay you.

easiest thing to do is what you want to do, let your customers be the judge.

sunday you will normally find skeliton staff but not going to explain what is clear obvious, ii agree with you on the last part, I choose not to collect sundays ir any days as its unpaid labour in my eyes. as I said before if you read it I said each to their own, these are my views on it everyone has different ones some will be happy some not

It aint that simple especially if you have a lot of oap customers not everyone has the internet or even a computer you can`t always catch everyone in at the times you go collecting in the week and ye some of us do struggle more than others for money we aren`t all on the same wage

Apalling?? News flash, good job not all your custies think like me eh? I think window cleaning isn't important enough for me to pay someone to do it. If it were MY windows, I'd clean 'em when light could no longer get through!!!

I try not to second guess my custies as we all see things differently. Funny old world innit? I just clean windows and collect cash. I don't care if a custy finds it "apalling" as long as they pay. if they don't like it, they can cancel, I'll replace 'em. Simple life.
