I had a similar call from M and S last year to clean their two flagship stores in our local shopping mall. It worked out to approx £17 each visit!! No chance I said!! There were over 70 car showroom type windows to be done in and out!!

really couldn't comment without seeing the glass to be cleaned, could be a couple of plates and a door, or thirty plates and lots of doors

A few months back, I was asked how much to clean weekly two medium sized shop windows and a both sides of the door of a newsagents. The previous window cleaner was charging the shop keeper but not doing the job so the shop keeper told the bloke to go forth and multiply.

As it was in between two other shops I clean and a straight forwards job, I said I'd do it for £5 a week which included going over the shop sign once a month with wfp.

The shop keeper did the usual sharp intake of breathe and shook his head and told me I was having a laugh as his now sacked window cleaner charged 50p where upon I took a sharp intake of breathe.

The shop keeper still hasn't got a window cleaner having asked others who work in the same street.

Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

I used to clean the local Pets & Home inside and out for £15 every week. One of the best jobs I've had and only took 10-15 minutes. Used to empty and wash the front gutters twice a year at £40 which was easy enough. Always cleaned about 8am, staff pleasant, paid immediately and never any hassle. Did two years with it, never missed a clean and was the replaced by a national - fun while it lasted.

I always get shot down for this, but many just have no idea of business practice, costs and prices. The principal of so many is " Any money is better than no money "  This is always followed by money is not everything. The one I just love is " Its a lifestyle I choose" Or "RIP OFF".My answer to all this is why work then or even be in business in the first place go on the social or beg, no stress.

Wouldnt do them for less than 30 quid each inside and out.
Id rather not work than work for pennys.i have a nice 5 story commercial job tommorow.till take 6 hours and earn 300 quid.bit better than doing 2 poxy jobs for 18.50 and probably spend 2 hours including travel to do.
