Aardvark cleaning norwich
« on: October 24, 2012, 03:40:53 pm »
http://www.aardvarkcarpetcleaningnorwich.co.uk/Special_Offers.html

A client was telling me that he used a walkaround cleaner (maybe a rug doctor) and did not pre vac. He was in and out within a few minutes.

He is right on the top of search engines (where i would like to be) and is charging £29 for almost a whole house clean.

I charge £40/45 just for stairs he's charging £29.00 for lounge/diner whatever the size and the HSL.  just to load my gear and unload would take 30 minutes minimum
How can this guy survive.
Even at My minimum hourly rate i would have to be done in less than an hour from arriving to driving away, could you even vacuum in that time?

Silly name anyways! Aardvark cleaning! There's an aardvark named business in ever city, town, villiage up and down the country. Similar too A1 or AAA.

Thats one of the biggest problems with the internet.  You can have a nice site, great pics, say anything you like and the customer is no wiser until you leave.

Maybe I should rename my business Aaaaaaaaardvark to get 'top ranking'.

I've had 3 leaflets through my door in the past month, offering to clean my carpet for ~£15 per room. My wife wants our living room carpet cleaned - she can't afford me. I charge much higher rates than that, but I get a smile and a 'thank you' every day, and sleep well at night.  And I anticipate repeats.  Isn't that how to build a business?

Just today I asked the B&Q check-out girl what feedback she was getting about renting out 'rug doctor' from their store, she said they get lots of business, and happy customers.

I've never run a business before this year... maybe I've got it wrong!

Because he probably only does cash in hand, and probably only invested 500 or 600 quid into his 'business'. Of course this is only speculation of course ;D

I should not worry about him....... You cant last like that!!

I love the quotation on the website regarding farmers....... Talk about cementing stereotypes!!

"My husbands a farmer and doesn’t bother to take his boots or change his work clothes when he comes in.  ::)
