Hydramaster 4.0 Truckmount
« on: July 21, 2012, 10:40:36 pm »
Another truckmount has to go.

This is one that I got from HM a few years back with the intention of raiding it for parts. I decided it was way too good for that and kept it to use. It's served me really well for a few years.

It's been modified and has a recent (500 ish hours) Kohler 18hp. The engine alone would cost more to buy than I'm asking for.

Runs like a dream this one and I only took it out because I was itching to get the maxx diesel in the van.

Comes with a HM waste tank but no fresh water tank.

I will also throw in a trolley I made up which sits next to the van so you can drag the machine out of the van. Nothing fancy but very useful.

I'll take £800 for it. please call 07905188459 for details.

This is an oldy but it's a great dependable machine. Will try to get some pics up over the next few days but didn't get any joys on previous items so don't hold your breath.

I will take an offer on this. It's got to go. It's a working machine. But could be a great source of spares for someone.

Maybe Paul. I have a pallet in the unit I will measure up tomorrow. I'm sure the machine and tank would, not so sure about the trolley. Incidentally I picked up my prowler today. Dave tells me you helped him out with a silencer for it.

Yes it's still up for grabs. I plan to start stripping it for parts soon if it doesn't go. It's an old and well used machine but very dependable and with a very recent engine I would say it's got plenty of life left in it.

Breaking this machine within the next week or so.  All parts available including Kohler 18hp ohc engine with approximately 500 hours.

If anyone wants the whole thing I will take an offer but but what I can't do is wait. I'm out of my premises soon and it's got to go.

I just wanted to add a few bits to this.

While I'm very confident that the machine can be used and that it has no problem with any of the major components, it is what it is. An old machine that is not perfect. It is modified so some of the HM features are not there any more.

For example if your water ran out I believe the machine in it's original state would shut down to protect the pump. This machine doesn't. Making sure you always have enough water is important. Or if you loose pressure at the wand for whatever reason, shut it down asap. Most of the time when this happens it is because the strainer at the header tank is blocked and it's a simple job but pumps don't like running dry. Also the machine doesn't shut down when the waste tank is full. None of this stops the machine from being useable but it does mean you will need to have a handle on these things while working. For anyone looking to get into the TM world I would strongly recommend that you have some technical know how or it is going to be tough going. I'm not trying to put you off but I don't want you to think that using a TM is plain sailing. I am pretty good at the technical stuff and as such have a good understanding of the machine and the potential pitfalls. In my view that is essential for anyone considering getting a TM.

Phil I have put this on here for your benefit really as you sound a decent bloke and I don't want you to be disappointed. But also I have put it on here to so it's plain that I have pointed out what the machine is all about. It's a great deal if you are prepared to take it on but just don't do it Lightly.

Phil. Sorry to pull out mate. I think it needs too much doing and I would never sleep at night if I sold that to you as a goer.

It's most probably pump seals but could be worse than that. Don't worry mate there are plenty of bargains about.

Hi Richie. I'll take 300 for the engine. It's not the command model. It's an OHC type. Give me a call if you need to know anything.

No longer available.

Craig is having the heat X. The engine is up for grabs if any one wants one. If not it will eventually go onto ebay.
