I always state no extra charge for 8wkly - if they ask for or show any sign of wanting  an 8wkly clean I just price accordingly  :) as far as the customer is concerned it was always the same as 4wkly

I quote giving them the option of 4 weekly and eight weekly at the outset and always uplift the price for 8 weekly by "about 20%". But I genuinely don't mind whether they are monthly or two monthly - in fact I feel the deal is "safer" at two monthly as it is a lower spend over the year.

So £12 or £10; £18/15 that sort of thing.

One geezer today came out to pay and said he wanted to go to 8 weekly and my well trained Dan the Man started to explain (I was round the back of the van "doing paperwork" and earwigging) that would probably be a different rate as there would be more dirt to remove and he would get me to discuss with said custy.

I could tell said custy was a "bit miffed"  at the idea of paying more and wanted me to say "not to worry" but I said it would be £18 instead of £14.

He said will you be removing an extra £4 worth of dirt then? To which I replied that cobwebs and spiders nests will take more to remove and that birds' muck will have more time to bake on and anyway there will be twice as much dirt and dust as the gap between cleans will be twice as long.

He grudgingly accepted it and it wouldn't surprise me if he looks around and "jumps ship" down the road - but hey, it's his choice isn't it?

This isn't to say that if it was a "premium account" I might take a different view as a one-off decision but this is a general bread and butter view and this is a general bread and butter account. And so I made a general bread and butter decision.

Anyone want bread and butter with that?  ;D

I have simplified my prices recently, trying to make them more user friendly, before I would charge an extra 25% for 6 weekly and 50% for 8 weekly, I really would like all of my customer to do down that route, instead of 4 weekly cleans.

Now I simple charge £2 extra for 6 weekly and £4 for 8 weekly cleans, this is based on my charges from £12 to £20 after that it increases by £1 and £2 per £10 4 weekly charge.

I don't have the guts to ask for it either! Prices are on leaflets and on website so the customer asks me.

I charge double for eight weekly, as opposed to four. Grow some balls and just tell the customer how it is  >:(.
I do have to clean them twice for that, though  :-\.
