Hilton I will shut up soon but in the retail trade a 50% is quite normal possibly even higher on a specialist product

I think what Warren is describing is retailing through his direct Sales force Carpet Cleaning supplies.

Although forced into retirement at present I have decided that a 50% Margin in my Blind Business is not high enough to cover Marketing and Fitting Costs which is what people expect

50% margin retail is very good, but this is not retail..
I would go so far as to say that a stand alone CC should be doing a margin up around 75% maybe even higher.
Obviously if you have premises and staff then the margins will not be so high but still higher than a retail operation.it costs peanuts to clean a carpet so profit margins should be high..
