They will work after bedding them in on tarmac/concrete for half an hour or so.
The shampoo brushes normally have a little clear plastic difuser in the centre to throw the shampoo out towards the bristles.

jamie what you got in six inches as I have a ton of 8 inch brush stock I'll swap you think there about 12 or more horse hair to poly brushes

I dont actually have any 6" stock but would order them in for a swap on a set of CR48 brushes for use on my own machines.

Ok so too fast for carpets then.  Apart from a label, thats now gone, is there anyway of telling if its the slow machine.

For commercial office tile when would pads be better or worse than brushes?

Pads will always work better than brushes. Think pot scourer vs dish washing brush.

On commercial tile go for pads every time.

It's only when you have a broadloom in a hotel or similar that you may consider brushes due to pile distortion that may be caused by the pads.

Always do a quick m2 test before charging ahead.

Mark been asking around on the US encap forums and many have used the 620rpm CR38 on commercial for years with no problem.

Hope this is correct as have just bought a used 38 from ebay and like you have no clue as to what rpm version it is.

Are you using a porty; locked inside the bank, or a t/m sitting outside.??

It really doesn't matter, (apart from the security aspect, I.M.H.O.).

If you are cleaning commercial carpet, I would say that 99.999% of the time, not only will the Cimex give you a better result, (especially on polyprops:),  but will also be quicker.

The following is strictly my honest opinion, others may disagree, but that's okay.  

Benefits of a Cimex:

Quicker set-up and break-down times.
Quicker dry times.
Less chance of wick-backs.
Less chance of opening a bad seam.
Much less chance of over-wetting the carpet.
Less chance of damp carpet next day.
Less chance of odour problems when dry.
Less chance of condensation on the windows.
Much quieter, and no odour compared to a porty; working in the same area.
Much less security problems being due to the machine being inside with no unlocked doors/windows.
Of course, all of the above also relates directly to the solution that one may be using in regard to odours.

Downside:

Occasionally, the carpet may need to be extracted to remove any build-up of deep down soils.

That's it, I'm stumped.

I agree with them all apart from your downside. Modern encapsulation products wont find this a problem.

I know where you're coming from. 

I've been cleaning a travel centre, located at the entrance to a food court, in a large busy shopping centre for nine years with the 'Mex;.

I've been doing this every MONTH.

To date, I have not extracted this carpet.

Good solutions are a must.

I use a Queensland made "Woolsafe approved" product from Sonitron called Zenith mostly.

I also use a Sonitron product called Chemox, which is based on h2O2 for cellulosic browning stains, coffee, etc;.

Sometimes I use Releasit Punch for some spotting of problem areas.

I very much doubt you can buy these (Sonitron products), in the U.K.

This will probably be all as clear as mud to you blokes, which is just how I feel trying to comprehend your local products.
