Putting my input in, we run a Jaguar 6.6 and yes I agree the build quality needs working on, but I still think if you can pick one of these up for £2000 then it is very much a good deal, especially if you are not VAT registered.
My guys did a job on Monday, it was a bit out of our local area and the woman asked a million questions before we went out there as she'd had bad experiences with other carpet cleaners, including one using a TM!
Anyway the guys went and did the job (4 carpets) and she was so impressed with the work and how dry the carpets were that they ended up doing her brothers house as well who lives two doors away. Total ticket price was over £500
This is the email she sent on:
Afternoon Ian
Just a note to thank you for an excellent job today. I am absolutely thrilled with the result as is my brother. Darren and Harvey are a credit to you and i would not hesitate in using you again. I will let the remainder of the family as well as friends know what an excellent job you do. The two lads were helpful, courteous and friendly and explained everything, the carpets look beautiful and are already dry.
I’ll be in touch in the near future to arrange for our leather sofas to be cleaned.
Thanks again
I have since had a phone call yesterday from the same area for a suite and 3 carpets to be cleaned so can only presume that she is already spreading the word!
A note for Pete: Be realisitic, you're not going to get £3,000 for the machine, Andrew is right you lose the VAT and a third as soon as you walk out the door with it.
There endith my input, off to work now as I've got the lads lined up with £600 worth of carpet/suite cleaning work today
