For what ever reason you are moving on Colin good luck... the sad fact here is that we are all in the same boat here, we are all struggling and the UK is becoming a harder place to survive if you have a business.

hands up if you are struggling......nope can't see any hands.... we must all be doing OK :) :)

as for us all been in the same boat....... if that boat is full of happy blokes drinking stella and eating pizza  then yep thats the boat I'm in ;D ;D

Well, its nice to hear you are doing OK Mike... So far business has been pretty slow for me however it is picking up.
Ebay seems to have a different van including truckmount listed every week... many established carpet cleaners selling up and moving on by the looks of things...

There are a couple of low hour machines on ebay probably they are not established.
There are also some machines that are probably 2-3rd hand and fallen into the hands of someone loking to make a fast easy buck.

Personally our work is still on the up, more of our customers are having carpets cleaned rather than replacing, it may be different in other areas.

I have read all the comments on here about Colin , and all i can say is that all the comments that are nasty are from people that dont know Colin at all.

we both run cc business in a small town in the south west , when i had one off the worst years that anyone would not wish on there worst enemy , Colin was there for me, i lost my job, my wife. and my license all in a couple off months .
Colin drove me to jobs , fixed my machine for free , gave me free detergents to get me through hard times.
he took me out and spent time listening to my whinging never, once complaining , took me out on jobs with him, and just generally supported me through hard times , if any of you ever end up with a mate like him then you are very lucky.

not once  did Colin ever say buy from this seller or that one, all he ever did was be a good friend,  .

If I never told you before Colin  thanks mate , you were there when others weren't  you  made a  difference .when ever your in Yorkshire call round i owe you a pint ( could you make it between 5pm and 7pm as its happy hour) thats what Shaun tells me       Neil

Yeah he has also helped me out.

My truck mount had broken down, I had never even met colin and he rang me up to say that he was going back to cumbria for a week and i could borrow his machine if i wanted, he also let me use his van as mine was obviously tied up at hydramaster with the tm. not many would do that.

Cheers Colin

Creighton that was not called for.
Neil has written why he lost his licence in previous threads, and quite frankly, in the same circumstances I think you would have done the same thing, as would just about everyone on here....

So before the holier than thou speech you should check out facts.....

For one I do not know Colin personally and have never posted anything rude or offensive towards him all my posts are still on the forum to be read by one and all. On the other hand Colin has been rude towards me and then after my response deleted or edited his own post so you do not get a true picture of what he has posted.
I for one do not doubt he has been a very good friend to Neil and many others and they would defend him whatever.
Hector I have read why Neil lost his licence and although it seems a very sad set of circumstances that lead to him loosing it we cannot condone drink driving for anyone.

Cheers Tony

You're all laughing now, but when they put Colin in charge of the SPM watering down process......  ;D
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
