Jog post campaign - update
« on: February 29, 2012, 06:08:07 pm »
Hi Guys

Its early days yet but 10,000 leaflets were delivered in 1 of our areas last Sunday (26th) so far after 3 days we have 12 new customers with some having extra services with the first clean.

The last drop we did back in Sep gave us 50% of the new customers in the first 2 weeks after the drop then the other 50% came in slowly over 3 months.

This coming Sunday we are going mad and have 3 jog post teams coming down to deliver 27,500!!

With that and whats been done this week im hoping to hit 40 new customers in throughout next week.

So from those first 10,000, how many new customers are you expecting, taking your previous experiance into consideration?

Given the time of the year im hoping for 40-50 from the first 10,000 over the next few weeks/months

dont forget that the last time round we had about 15 one off only customers. the value of them pretty much paid for the print and distribution of that drop so you could argue I got the 39 for free.

hhmmmm first cleans. I did 7 today and was knackered lol.

Well heres my thoughts

Lee said the 100k has cost 4000 so 400 for the leaflets, solus leaflets are between 60 and 80 per thousand around here so between 600 and 800 but and its a big but it may be even more down there. So you looking at between 1000 to 1200....

Hi,

We have 20,000 leaflets going out this month and we've been quoted £125 per thousand solus. Thought it sounded expensive!

Need to find a more cost effective way to get them delivered as my guys can only manage 1,000 or 2,000 a month delivering them between window cleaning jobs.

Cheers,

Huw

Hi,

Just found another offering 20,000 A5 full colour both sides designed, printed and delivered for £1,365 + VAT works out at £68.25 per thousand. Don't know if thats solus though.

How much of the UK do jog post cover Lee?

Cheers,

Huw

I've spoken to them, they will travel for expenses plus a little bit extra for their staff time.

One thing to be careful of with delivery is them allowing you to choose the areas....

I once paid a company to deliver me some and then they turned up in the local paper lol

So they had charged me 40 odd per thousand and then given the local free paper 18 per thousand lol suffice to say that bill didnt get paid....

jog post are a london company, they only just come out as far as we are so I consider myself lucky. the good news for everyone else is they are currently franchising their business and will be nationwide within 18 months from what im told by their MD Henry Buckley.

Lee, are your leaflets double sided? And do you advertise add ons on the leaflets too?
