with the right work and prices, having a daily turnover figure of £350 is quite easy to achieve.

To clean 50 properties in a day is possible, its only 8 1/3 houses an hour, but to get a member of staff to do this, 5 days a week for 48 weeks a year, I do not think this is achievable.

The reason, the cleaner will burn out.

Richard are you vat registered?

not yet at the threshold for VAT no tho very close nowadays.  all going to plan i;ll have to make that leap this year  :-\

leaflets dont work lee  ;D ;D ;)
you will pick up more work of them than 99% off here will ever have.

I hope so. we will see soon enough. The goal this year is to get another 2 guys out doing £550 a day. I also hope to sell at least one franchise to get that ball rolling

Out of interest Lee, how much you require for your  initial franchisee Licence fee ?
And what do you guarantee the franchise income per week?
What percentage is your loyalty ?

Hope you don't mind me asking this on here?

dont tell anyone how much you paid for them you may get called a story teller ;D ;D ;D

I usually buy a pallet of 30,000 for £1450.00

Yesterday I bought 100,000 for £4000.00 I plan to buy a further 100k later in the year as I dont have room to store 200k in one hit!

By the way contact me regarding your leaflets, because I am using a company in my area who can do your leaflet for half price of what you are paying to printing them.
Mine are two sided colour with excellent printing Graphic .

Errr, no it aint.   I have 2 areas where we can knock 8 houses per hour out, all small semis all next door to each other and most priced at a mindblowing £4-4.30 each.

They're all fortnightly, private houses on a nice little estate.

Bread 'n' butter stuff... ;D

All frames(apart from the top edge) glass and sills, 1 operator to do these.

I bought the round 7 years ago.

at a fairly brisk pace i clean 4-5 smallish three bed semis an hour on very compact work with prices ranging from £6-£12 depending on conservatories and kitchen extensions etc.

i clean all frames, sills and doors, mostly monthly cleans.ive been cleaning for many years(wfp for nearly 2 years).i could not possibly clean any more in 60 mins unless i missed bathroom windows, avoided frames, bumped doors etc(basically "splash and dash".)

there is a fine line between working fast and efficiently and just taking the pee and cutting corners.

IMO if your cleaning 8 houses an hour on your own your cutting corners and you will lose customers as people do watch what your doing!!

a tip i picked up on here was always work as if someone is watching you!!! ;) ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

Very true, but I can assure you i do a very thorough job, no cutting corners whatsoever.
The houses are SMALL semi's, no front gardens.  The way I do them is go right down the fronts 150meters doing the tops, then back down doing the bottoms, I then go down the side of the house and do 2 backs and so on.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you do 1 or 50 an hour its what you make within that hour that counts

That looks like I agree with it when its taken out of context, I have spoken to Julie at concept2o and thats the method they say to use to achieve 50 houses in a day. Doesnt make sense to me....

Sorry GD it does a bit, that wasnt my intention. and I should of quoted the other fella but I was agreeing with what you said...why would you hire someone just to drive and post bills?

the other guy doesn't just drive and post bills tho.  he helps out laying out the hose and allowing the cleaner to move around the house as if he's not attached to a hose.

we do it that way because it works that way.  if it didn't speed us up it would be insane wouldn't it.  it'd not the most obvious way of doing it is it!  but we just work to get the best results.
