Have tried getting your money back.
I would argue that it wasn't of merchantable quality, and it was badly manufactured when it was sold to you.
You have redress with the Company that sold it to you for up to 6 years.
It comes under a little known law, in "how long you thought, it would reasonably last when it was sold to you" I would argue that if you were spending £1550 on a pole, you would not have bought it in the first place if you thought the threads would break in a couple of years.
Don't always assume you only have 1 year,
