If may be so bold as to offer my input with Catherine in mind: I think tele sales is not marketing in any shape and form. That will explain why you are getting frustrated.
Marketing is the the plan one put in place from the first conception of a good idea and the path you want it to go.
Try to involve your market at all times. They can guide you indirectly to the gold pot of success.
AS I see it, this soft ware still like a beta version and needs a lot of finishing work to make it ready for sending it to market.
Give your market some credit they know what they need. This window cleaning market is not ready for for cloud technology yet there is still too many questions not answered. It has great potential for the writer as he can make a monthly income as he will control the data.Which would not be in the interest of the user and give the writer to much control.
I also think your price is that of a product the has proved its self in the market and not a beta looking one.Your first edition should be no more than £150 P.A. Then add value with upgrades this is down by communicating with your clients and listening to there needs and developing a answer to those needs. Always look towards your markets need and wants. In crease the value in this way and the price will be able to go up. E.G Bill Gates is still selling the same windows after 16 years.
Catherine it would be wise to forget about telesales ideas for this project as it brings along a lot of frustration. It is a to "demand and expect " environment and will not help you bring this product to a needy market.
I am not trying to teach you but with good intentions to help you succeed in your goal.
