£6000 per month cleaning windows - is it possible?
« on: January 26, 2012, 04:56:38 pm »
Quote from a website:

"I transformed a local north east window cleaning round (which at the time was taking £300 per month) to that of one taking £6000 per month. The company excelled and was sold on 6 months later for £16,000."

Is £6000 per month possible and likely?

And if its making £72 000 per year why would he sell for just £16000?  Again is this a likely price to sell this level of business?
Thoughts please................

If they did so by employing 10 men it doesn't look so good.

6k a month is 300 a day..possible if have a well priced compact round to be done in a normal 5-8 hour day, but if you are just starting out withought buying work you have a long long long way to go to get there.... believe me

Bloke in my town has bought some work priced @ £4k a month - on top of what he already had (he told me about £700 a month  or so ) and he's only been window cleaning about 4 months - on his own as well !! - the point is it can be done but it must it be well priced - with alot of commercial work thrown in

So if you had a £6k turnover per month would you only want £16k for it?  Seems very cheap i think...........

Also out of that £6k there wont be much in the way of overheads?  Diesel, Van payment & insurance, Water etc.

Seems good money this Window Cleaning lark ;D

A few years ago now but i used to work for another guy who had a large round in Kent with 5 men each pair completing roughly £400 of work a day 5 days for four weeks and £200 for the single guy, then he had a round in Billericay £400 a day for four weeks. Very hard to manage but with persistence anything is possible...

Averaging roughly £1600 a day, £8000 a week (baring in mind he really did go through some messers and bad employees' and was totally paranoid that everyone was out to get him)

That 99% domestic and all traditional, Kent work was ok but not greatly priced the Billers stuff was well priced. Neither were that compact

At a good pace i personally think two guys should easily clean £400 a day in 6 to 7 hours and half that for one man.

He must be a quick learner if he can clean £4700 of work on his own with 4 months experience
