what if they ban people for not using their real name and they come back with yet another dodgey name? what if someone joined with a dodgey name and then changed it and got banned for using the right wrong name? what if someone with a dodgey real name used another dodgey unreal name and got banned but didnt know they should use a dodgey name for not getting banned ?

what if someones real name is forum admin would they get banned? what if some people want to use their name but its already being used by someone else like forum admin?

i think.

I'm using my real name already. It makes an incredible difference to what a person knows and how they can give advice. As for the picture, that will make an even bigger difference.

Surely it's the content that matters and how the forum is moderated.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Whoever thinks that posters need to use their own names has got it wrong, totally wrong, totally wrong.
I`m ready to leave if thats the case and i use my own name.

Pathetic. I`m not going to explain why but i know i`m right and anyone calling for participants to have to use their real names is wrong, totally wrong.
This request needs fighting off at all costs!,next comes the subscription fee!

I agree.

There are a couple of other VERY GOOD forums out there now, much less restrictive & with a better feel than here. Less dreamers on them also, which is always a big plus! ;D

could i ask what other cleaning forums you would recommend using? im only on this one wouldnt mind another couple good ones cheers

I havent been on any other ones, yet, but I think perhaps we need to cut these guys a break!

They are, after all, trying to make the forum a better place for us all, they have asked us for our opinions, and are just following 'our' suggestions on ways to improve!  Nothing more, nothing less, I dont see any enforcing yet, is it really that bad?!"!    :o shock horror lol.

And as for the names thing, I could be wrong, but it looks like I can change my name to anything or anyone.  Pretty confusing to see who is who if we all all fancied changing , even if we were only messing about!  No harm in having an element of professionalism about things, without crossing the line of being dictatorial or taking the fun out of things.

My penny's worth, anyway!
