I charge 1.5 times for inside than outside. So if i charge £8 for outside it would be £12 for inside.

I charge them £13 for an outside clean so If i charge them double for inside I make £39 something tells me they will tell me to sod off, hmmm I'm happy with telling them x 1.5 as I will still make £32.50, Christ I wouldn't pay anyone almost £40 to clean my windows, anyhow, any other thoughts ?

Its not about what you would pay though is it. I charge two times as it can take twice as long.
I dont do too many but find them a hassle with boots off (or boot covers) and then its minus 8 outside and 35 degrees inside.

Lee Sobol I don't try to second guess my custies mate, I charge about 1.5 times the outside price. When they want their insides cleaned, they pay that. Whether they think it's expensive or not, doesn't matter, they pay or they don't have it done. If they can find another cleaner, then they do.

One of the reasons I don't second guess my custies is because not everyone thinks the same way you do. I would never pay someone to clean my windows or mow my lawn, but some people will. Some peaople hate having people knock on their door after 7 pm. I do, but I still kock till 8 pm and get custies.

So I charge what I think a job is worth, not what I think the custy thinks the job is worth.

If my custies will pay it, why not yours? Are you in the only place in UK that thinks 1.5 times the outside price is too high?

Nice one rich, great customer there!  We charge 1.5 times, sometimes custys think its steep, but i explain takes so much longer inside, careful not to damage/clean up.  Even then could do with being more but got to be give and take sometimes.  And as you say, if its too much for them they can say no, better than doing it at too cheap a price and getting all worked up as you are sweating your way around wrapped up like a yeti!

it depends how much you want the work really

i charge up to 1.5-2 times the outside price for insides if its a trad job

if its wfp i charge even more than that as my wfp prices are lower than trad

the reason its worth more ultimately, is down to time taken to do inside...you could get both neibours done outside in the time taken to do one job inside

secondary double glazing is another issue all together

tell her it takes more time as you need to be careful of dripping water, buckets etc and they tend to be awkward due to furniture, blinds, curtains kitchen sinks, and if they haven't been cleaned in while

1.5 x min. Access is a pain, stuff gets left on sills and they are generally dirtier.
