hi - just bought about £400 of work off a guy local to me - hes going to introduce me to most of his custys but if we cant meet them face to face, is it wise to send letters? or shall i just turn up when they are due and explain ive bought the round? what if they arent in?  just wondered whats the best way really, dont want people phoning me up after moaning and cancelling if i leave a card after ive cleaned.

When I sold part of my business on, I wrote to each customer to explain that I had passed my work on. I named the guy who took over, and gave him an introductory letter to produce to the customers to prove he had legitimately taken over the round.

When I bought work I got the person I bought it off to write a letter that he printed off and I went to the address a week before cleaning and delivered them myself, so maybe go with him and those who are not in put a letter through.

Could be a time issue, depending on how many customers are involved.

I am now in the process of selling off the rest of my business. I will be doing the same as I suggested above, but will have 280 letters to drop!

Mark,

I bought a round off someone and we went round together knocking on the doors so i could
be introduced to the customers. For all the ones that were out i posted letters and also
information on the change to WFP.

Thanks,

Zac.

Yes moved a lot of the round to WFP over night so to speak!
Did have one customer complain on the 1st clean, turned out to be dirty inside though.

There are a few Bungalows on the round (older customers) that
did not want me to use WFP so i do them trad.
Luckily only small 2 beds that do not take long.
