Unfortunately because of the way we use batteries in the WFP industry there is a tendency to kill them very quickly (my record 12 months!).

I would recommend getting an Elecsol battery as these are protected against full discharge with carbon fibre elements. These will outlast any ordinary 'leisure' battery and will save you money in the long term.

The 110ah is guaranteed for 5 years and can take 1000cycles at 80%dod.

Go to as local garage and get a used car battery off of a big motor - a tenner and it's yours,
It's a game of three halves!

I got 2 of these at least 3 years ago, still going strong, I charge them once or twice a week depending on use, never gone flat and I don't use a split charge relay.

I've had cheap ones and not lasted long

Yep agree Bob

I had a leisure battery lasted couple of months before it packed up!!

All i hear on here lately is problems about leisure batterys , had my car  battery from scrap yard for 6 months and still going strong all for the princely sum of a tenner!!!

My next one will be one of those 'tenner jobs' me thinks.  And the price of leisure batteries increases in the Summer due to all those people with caravans needing one.

HELLO!

RUN IT OFF VAN BATTERY

Nope, I don't want too.  I have at least one week's worth of work under a mile from where I live; two of us; two pumps going, only going maybe two-or-three-miles per day (maybe five miles tops) - and running from the van battery - I don't think so, matey.

I see they do a seven year guarantee on the carbon versions. Trouble is most of my leisure batteries have had three year warranties and yet when the won't hold their charge the shops test them and tell me there is nothing wrong with them  ::)
How long has yours been going Alex?

Not that long - just over a year but still going strong as I hope it would be.
