would you use a water fed pole hire company if their was one for when you need the larger pole for big jobs ?

what would you be prepared to pay to hire a smax 50 with a 55ft working height ?

I'd be concerned about inexperienced cleaners using such poles at full length - I know I'd struggle.

I have a 21ft that I can stretch to approx 25ft when all four sections are used, saying that I can count the windows I use that length for on one hand. I still don't like the sensation despite the fact I appreciate the bigger poles are more expensive and better quality than my current pole.

I said No as if I needed a bigger pole I would just phone round all the local cleaners and ask to borrow one of them!!

If that don't work I would just buy one and then target higher work, I did that 4 years ago when I bought my SL2

i dont think it would be practical to hire
Poles are coming down in price
with the exception to gardiners and ionic
both of these firms have inflated the pole prices
with their new pole ranges
there all basically the same type of pole as the Elite poles
just different branding and marketing nonsense

The first slx I purchased was £400 the equivalent is much cheaper now.  Gardiners latest range of poles the xtreme are a very different pole to the slx and the elite. It's unfair to say that the price has been hiked as the xtreme is a completely different pole, I could have replaced my slx 25 with the equivelent and spent less than I did 3 years ago if I wanted.

It's good to do a little research before you post.

look at the price the xtreme £702, thats £438 more than the elite pole which you can get for £264

there is no more information about why the 25ft xtreme pole is different from the slx or elite 25ft poles, and why dont you say what those differences are, instead of saying "thre xtremes are a very different pole" that means nothing, gardiners dont mention anything other than "Hi Modulus" and just about every other pole manufacture uses that phrase

i think this hi modulus marketing about poles is just boll*cks

simon i will be looking forwards to reading your post about the "reseach" on this

'Alex.' You are right that there is very little information about why the SL-Xtreme25 is so much better than the standard SL-X. Due to being very busy selling the poles, we have not really focused on promotion of the Xtreme range as of yet - we generally like the product to speak for itself.

I can assure you that the Hi-Modulus labelling of the Xtreme is not ******** - as you delicately refer to it. The quality of the carbon in the Xtreme range is second-to-none and is the only reason that these poles are so expensive. They actually have a much smaller profit margin % than the SLX and Super-Max range of poles to try and keep them within reach of clients - not completely successful, with the Xtreme18 being the worlds most expensive water fed pole per extended cm.

I am not going to try and explain to you the reasons that the Xtreme range is a complete 'world away' in performance and handling from a standard SL-X pole. I will allow the website to do this in due course. All I will say is that of the many clients who have purchased these poles they all have been 'blown away' by how easy they are to use and how much faster they work with them. I have even had a text  from a client (who purchased an SL-Xtreme25 to replace an SLX) who has managed to cut some clean times down on larger jobs by 40%. Another client due to injury was taking 4 half days to do his part time round and can now do this in just one day - he says this is because of the Xtreme25 - this is an extreme case I know, but shows the real world difference they can make. These testimonials, and others, will be going on to the website soon.

'Alex.' - Thank you for the opportunity of defending these poles in the face of such unbridled antagonism  ;D

Hi Alex.

The point that I was making was that prices of poles have come down not gone up. I have in the past posted a video to show how the xtreme pole is very different. But here goes again.

http://youtu.be/uB39sYzR8Xk

I don't believe in parting with such large amounts of money without good reason, I traveled down to Cornwall for a holiday and when there had a good look at the poles. These are the best poles I've ever used by a long way. I'm working sooooo much faster with them. There are not expletives to describe how good they are.

Just out of interest what poles do you use and what kind of work do you have? I'm mainly domestic with a few nice commercials thrown in.

Simon.

Alex, poor attempt to answer the question; every other pole manufacturer could say the exact same thing you have posted here about their poles

what you have done with this post is market the xtreme pole on the forum with a nifty sales pitch thrown in

the closest you came to an answer as to why the xtreme cost £438 more than the Elite pole is this quote  - "The quality of the carbon in the xtreme range is second-to-none and is the only reason that these poles are so expensive" -  this statement has no substance, if it was true wouldn't you have already marketed this considering the xtreme price tag

sorry if you think i am being antagonistic, but you will have to accept i don't believe half of what you say, thats all there is to it
