Joe is a nice man, experienced carpet cleaner and in life.

But the vast majority of his posts all went back to solutions, mpower, cornwall, jaguar/scorpion.

Thats why alot of other other members of this forum disliked the style of his posts and commented on it.

Anyone who has given Solution a fair crack of the whip usually ends up being very loyal to them. The same can be said for a majority of suppliers, Alltec, Extracta and a host of others. The 'them and us' situation occurs when some pleb slates a supplier and us loyal customers take offence to it.

I once had a right go at Nick on here and slagged him and his chemicals off for some reason that I honestly can't remember. I just had a proper attitude problem I guess, so I was "That" pleb! Then I got to meet the guy face to face and quickly changed my attitude towards him. He has become a very good friend and has helped me and my business get through some tough and challenging times.

John and Brian at Extracta are also worth mentioning because again, they are very helpful and nothing's ever too much trouble for them. Alltec have always been helpful in the past too and I wax lyrical about my Alltec 600psi Triple Vac. Another good supplier is Paul at PJ Cleaning Supplies.

Colin ,
you were obviously not around a number of years ago when Nick was given a fair crack of the whip by many est c/c ,and many of them c/c fought tooth and nail  on behalf of Nick ,only for it to all go pear shaped resulting in the very same c/c been very annoyed with solutions.
or maybe you have been around a little longer and just have a short memory  ???

Geoff

I'm sorry, I'm not very good with cryptic clue games. I haven't got a clue what you're on about ???

as a moderator i read( nearly) every post and i can't see any posts that are disrespectful to joe. disagreeing with some one or asking them to prove a statement is not disrespectful it's just normal discussion.

calling him an old codger is not disrespectful, it is forum banter,  Easter bonnet ( or what ever his name is now) is often called a lot worse but no one jumps to his defence.

but we all have a choice, if joe doesn't want to participate in CIU then that is his choice, I have forums that I choice not to participate in... I just don't log onto their site I don't need to make a big statement about leaving by deleting my membership.

hopefully joe will reconsider, CIU is a better place with him here.... just like Colin, Simon, Dawg, darren etc..etc..etc make this a better place. diversity always enriches  these forum

so why did ian feel so strongly he locked the post?

to be honest I can't see why Ian locked it apart from it getting a bit boring and like you pointed out  towards the end it was lacking any constructive posts,

but then Ian's a bit of an old codger himself  so it might have been one of his Alzheimer's moment ;) ;)

I actually think this was all a cunning plot by Ian to get rid of Joe so he can be officially the oldest person on CIU

what did i miss been playing golf .

never met joe but always seemed very helpful his choice to get his coat if he choses.  although he obviously did bang on about solutions and felt strongly about there products and machines . to be honest with any opinion you have you will get people who disagree. so if you havent got the skin for dont post continually promoting one supplier .

i personally dont buy much from nick but find him a nice helpfull guy the times i have met him, its just i get on just fine using the chems and machines i buy from various suppliers . all of the ones i deal with give me excellant service and if i am asked i will recomend all of them highly .

the way i see it this is an open forum in place for debate that how we all learn and move forward, although i dont agree in some ways that the ciu operate ( real names etc) i respect the way the forum is and take it with a pinch of salt from time to time .

what did i miss been playing golf .

Just the usual ::)
^Someone asks a question about a Solutions item/product.
^The anti solutions brigade spring into action.
^Those of us who use a solutions item/product explain why we think they are good, (although some of us to add the faults with it too).
^The anti solutions brigade crank up the baiting
^Then the abuse starts
^Then people leave this forum which justifies why some on 'another' forum call this one 'Scream It Up.'

Personally I hope Joe comes back because we can all learn a lot from him although I wouldn't blame him if he didn't.

Just do a search for some of the key words . "cock" is a term of endearment in Yorkshire , so that rules out  a lot on here .

I dry Buildings
