I'm glad you deleted that last one Craig.  Best to keep it separate as we don't want everyone to kick off  ;D

at least we have a new debate to argue over, gardiners vs elite.  :) i do like my elite, although the weights listed on their website need revising. and the lengths.

ive had 2 chinese companies come and see me, both offer the same type of poles as all the above, the design part is a nonsense, theres just not enough profit in poles for us to invest.

Its a pole, theres no design, if you buy a cheap ready up wardrobe from argos for when youmove house, your see a sideward clamp on it, these are a off the shelf design.
Craig, If it's so simple why did nobody do it before gardiners?

Are you're saying the weights and lengths are wrong?

yeah the 40ft was actually 38ft and it was supposed to weigh 3.05kgs but was about 4kgs. still i used it for 6hrs on a commercial job and i was fine with it. not sure if gardiners are honest with their descriptions?

I've weighed my gardiner poles & they match the website figures,.. I've a CLX-27 and an SLX-18.

Yeah dead right, and Aldis are selling a version of your polar vac for £67. Its all the same design.
Infact you're so smart at knowing when to invest or not that whilst Gardiners are mostly sold out of this cheap ready up design , you're having to advertise and Aldis have just undercut you !!!!   ;D ;D

When my new employee starts in September it's probably a new SLX 22 for him! As I already have a 2 year old SLX22 (used as an 18) and a 4 year old SLX35 (run as a 30) which are still serviceable and which I am very pleased with why would I risk spending £100's on a different pole?

When someone comes on here having used for over a year a pole that is a little better, a little less expensive and just as reliable as an SLX with the attendant Gardiners support then I might think about trying another.

I'm a real cheapskate me - build my own, cobble it together repair as I go and get to work but one thing I will not compromise on is a light rigid pole which earns me far more than the extra I pay!
It's a game of three halves!

if the elite poles are not the lengths or weights stated then i think that is very bad business practice IMO.gardiners are honest, friendly and the poles are exactly as stated....oh and their so light, user friendly and robust.need i say anymore!!

gardiners are the best! no question! with excellent customer service.

ill be using them for years to come thats for sure.

i should mention i weighed it with a brush and 50ft of 5mm tubing, but i doubt they weigh a kilo on their own?

I think your exaggerating a tad, as they are possibly selling a wet/dry vac, if you lookat our web site your see that my wet/dry vac is the same price!

However my polarvak kit is a little different.

Theres some bittter strange folk on here, madness!

The elite poles are better to use than the gardiners there is only a small Difference in weight.

that's what i thought when i compard the two 25ft poles side by side
any small weight difference either way at this reach made no difference

The Elite25 (24.1ft actual) is 26cm shorter than the SLX25 (25ft actual) and is heavier than the SLX25 - The SLX25 is 13% lighter per extended cm than the Elite25 . From experience this weight difference is very noticeable when working with the pole. It is very easy to hold a pole up and say it is similar in weight - actually working with them will tell a very different story - fact.  :)
