This is on vehicles, not vans, eg i agree with the rules on eg butchers where there is no vat on food, eg meat etc, on plain biscuits no vat, but on chocolate biscuits there is vat, marks and spencer won a long running court cast of chocolate teacakes, where the vat man charged vat, but m & s won, and vat is not charged. We claimed for vat on teabags over a few years, and were told off by vat man as no vat on teabags, but vat man came this year and said we could not claim vat on petrol , even though vat is charged, neadless to say, we took no notice.
i will speak to car dealer tomorrow, and get correct decision
