I've an SLX and it's a lovely light pole; really rigid; nice short close length for ground floor work, but I've also got a Jeff Brimble Ninja pole which looks interesting, has short lengths and is really really light; and has no clamps - which is a bonus, because I don't like clamps. But I think it takes a bit of practise to use it; which I will invest once I've caught up with my work. I think with practise the Ninja could be a really quick, light, inexpensive pole.
But if we're to include price as a factor, the Harris pole is by far the best, IMO. At £15 and 3 easy sections with simple twist grips to adjust height, it's great. I still keep my Harris in the van, alongside my DIY Fishing poles pole, SLX and CLX.
