Answer your bloody phone
« on: April 08, 2011, 03:09:55 pm »
Do the people at GArdiner ever answer their phone?????

I wanted to order a Supermax 50 but again they're out of stock so will settle for the 47. Unfortunately I still can't actually speak to anyone there :-\

I want to pop down to pick one up but don't want to make a wasted trip.
Come and talk dirty to us!!!

Hi MLS

Apologies for you not being able to get through when you wanted to. There are only two members of staff on the phones today and due to the high level of calls they will often be on the phone already when the phone rings. If you leave a message when the system asks you to do so, they will call you back as soon as is possible.

Cheers; I've sent you an e-mail with my enquiry. I did leave a message on the phone but I've not heard anything just yet.

I desperately want to buy a new pole from you so I look forward to your reply.

At the moment I feel that I'm missing out on a secret; all those folk who know how good a Gardiner pole is to use and I don't. ;D

I have to admit that is my only critisism of Gardiners. products are good, price is good but I very rarely get through to them and it oftem takes until the following day for them to get back to me.
Actually, another critisism....poles are quite oftem out of stock.
If they could sort these two things they would be better than sliced bread! Hope they take this as constructive critisism.  :)

Yeh yeh all you Alex Gardiner wannabees...

I don't think Gardiners need lessons in business off anyone on here. If you don't like them, don't shop there.

If I become half as successful as Alex Gardiner I'll be a happy man.

And phoning them on the day you simply must buy their new pole is probably bad planning.

Hi Nick

Your points have been noted, thank you for the advice.  We have had for some time unfortunately a member of staff on compassionate leave.  This has stretched us slightly at a period of time when we are busier than we ever have been.  We do try and answer all calls and get back to all messages where possible when they are left within office hours.  We are planning on employing two new members of staff this year to help cope with the growth.

Hi RO-Sheen

Thanks for the constructive criticism  :).  As posted above, we are aware of the situation and have plans to try and improve the number of people on the phone at any one time.

We thought we had the pole stock situation sorted as at the beginning of the year we had large stocks of all poles (CL-X, SL-X, Super-Max and Super-Lites), we were unable to anticipate the increase in demand that this year brought.  Good news is we have thousands of poles on their way!

i don't think anyone is trying to give Gardiners lessons on business. I think what people are doing is giving customer feedback on the service. There is a BIG difference.
I do hope for the sake of your business, if one of your customers told you that they would prefer it if you would do a part of your customer service differently you would take it on board and not take it as a personal insult.  ::)
