Tacky, I'll give them a bell in the morning and see what sort of mileage is on it.

Thanks.

We bought two peugot experts almost a year ago from Haydock auctions, 53 plates. One was £950 plus VAT plus commision etc..and the other was £1100 plus.... One had no MOT and the other a short one. Good vans though, nice and comfy. Pulls 500 litre tank about fine. Plus ladders, plus L5 heater and bottle, plus about five poles, trad stuff amd alsorts !!!

I have one of these vans, and dude they are fantastic, lots of space , great pay loads, and tough as old boots

Tripster,

I'm thinking about this one, purely 'cos the mileage is low and red matches my (slanty) eyes.

It looks shiny too, unlike the white Experts.

The thing about Fiats though (I've got a Fiat estate) is the ruddy warning bleeps wind me up.  My air bag is knackered BEEP.  My boot isn't shut properly BEEEEEP.  There's something wrong with my heater plugs BEEEEEEEEEP.  Low fuel warning BEEEEEEEEP.  Someone hasn't got their seat belt on BEEEEEEEEEEP.

They really wind me up sometimes.  >:(

Added later:

Actually it's not really a BEEP, it's more of a DING!

Tosh the Pugs and the citreons have the HDI engine, Fiat put their own engine in, as far as iam aware.
If it were me i would go for the expert or dispatch mate, some here may say the Fiat engine is good, i dont know, all i now is the HDI engines have very good recomdations from mechanics

Trippy,

I think the Pergeot, Citroen and Fiat vans are all made in the same factory:

Does anyone know the score here?

In that model range, including the facelift, the 1.9d (non Turbo) that Scudo use is a Peugeot engine, and the same one that is used in the Expert and Dispatch.
The Scudo 2.0l JTD in the year range was a rebadged Hdi Peugeot engine used in the Expert and Dispatch.
At that time Peugeot and Citroen (PSA) were having the van built by Fiat and using their own drive trains. So the only difference between all 3 of them is cosmetic.

The general rule of thumb was that all 815kg payload vans were 1.9d and the 900kg payload were Turbo diesels. Even in the early days before the Hdi engine, the 1.9TD was also rated as a 900kg payload.

It was only after this (with the new models after 2006) that Fiat started to introduce their own Multijet diesels into the model range. The vans are still built by Fiat so the Peugeot & Citroen models use the same engine. Fiat are using their Multijet engines now.

The red Citroen Dispatch in one of the links that Tosh likes is the Enterprise model, 1.9 straight non turbo diesel but being the Enterprise model comes with ABS brakes as standard. No all vans in that model range had ABS.

i liked that red  one. i once had a red fiat car and  the red paint was thickly applied which meant it polished up lovely.
