If its ordered from Gardiners it'll arrive the day before; from Brodex, they'll deny you ever ordered it.

I had a clamp go on my CLX and just did as Winpro said on earlier post, remove old glue, roughen up surfaces and apply new araldite in a broad bead right around and leave over-night, sorted  ;D. Gardiners, when informed, also sent out some araldite,no charge :D.
There aren't many companys left with such good customer services anymore, so well done Gadiners and keep up the good work, quality.

  It always makes me laugh when anything negative is said about Gardiners on here, I am not going to call them one way or another as I don't use their poles, but I do think there is a fan club on here who must be in their pay!

  There is so much smoke blown up their arses they must be well cured by now.

It's more than negative with drwindows though. It's an idiot spouting rubbish who hasn't a clue what he's talking about! :-*

The new pole is in a different league Bumper & about twice the price.

I've used a slx 25ft for three years & never had 1 clamp problem. ;)

  But it goes to the other extreme too, with people who have only been working wfp for a matter of a few months spouting off that they are the best poles out there for everyday residential use.

  That may be so, but until someone has used all makes of pole back to back over a long period of time it is a big statement to make.

  I personally use brodex alloy poles at the moment as they are strong and do the job that I want them to do, I don't need light and cutting edge, just reliability that it will work everytime I pick it up and chuck it back in the van.

  I have been using it for a year now with no problems what so ever, yeah the clamps came unglued, but a bit of glue and it works fine, never sticks, rigid and is strong - good enough for me.

i think that a lot of problems with the clamps are that alot of you let the pole slam down onto the clamp when closing it down,causing the clap to take a impact and breaking the glue seal.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!my view for whats it worth.

my slx  is 2 years old and never have to stick a clamp yet.and this pole is my everyday pole,and it gets abused daily,trust me.

the xtel and brodex pole i had to glue clamp back on,but once glued never had a problem.

ALEX IF YOU LIKE NOW TO DONATE A POLE SO I CAN AUCTION OFF FOR MY LONDON MARATHON RUN THEN THAT BE GREAT :P :P :P :P :Psee top sticky post

sorry alex dont ask dont get ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
