ive never had a clamp come loose on any pole.

the clx is a good budget everyday pole IMO.course its good enough for using day in/day out!ive been using it every day since october!

im getting a 22ft SLX soon though as i could do with the extra rigidity due to a lot of extending over extensions/conservatories.with the clx being a good back up pole.

doctorwindows you dont do yourself any favours mate running gardiners down!also how old are you?12?you come across as being rather childish!only you can do something about that!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I would hope it was better than their extension pieces - they weigh a ton for what they are.

Like my clx but it is iritating to have to adjust clamps on a daily basis.

The clamps should not need adjusting on a daily basis.  If you find that you have to, the problem may be that the barrel nuts are not locking onto the bolt. The simple solution is to replace with new barrel nuts. Please contact the Office and they will sort this out for you.

I have a clx. Am fed up with regluing a clamp every week or so. Ridiculous.

Wouldn't buy another. Although otherwise a fantastic pole. Harris poles have better clamps."

Apologies that have you had issues with the clamps.  Once they have been re-glued (outlined in a previous post) they will not come off.  The most important part of regluing is in the preparation - making sure both surfaces are free of old glue and dust and are then abraded and cleaned properly.  Apply glue to BOTH prepared surfaces before twisting together.  Alternatively, if the pole is less than 6 months old, please contact the Office and we will arrange a collection and the pole will be sorted in our workshop and returned to you.  Once a pole has been reglued in our workshop the clamps never come off.

always had problems with slx clamps since the mark1 til now.  dont know if the are up to
being worked hard day in day out, having to adjust clamps serveral times a day is a pain
and why can't they glue the clamps as well as there instructions say???
facelift poles are far better in terms of clamps and build quality pity they are not as light
as slx.

You should not need to adjust the clamps several times a day.  The problem may be that the barrel nuts are not locking onto the bolt. The simple solution is to replace with new barrel nuts. Please contact the Office and they will sort this out for you.  Regarding the gluing issue, we have had a problem with previous batches with the factory assembly line not following our manufacturing instructions in the gluing process.  Unfortunately this is only apparent when the poles are worked with and does only affect a very small percentage of the 1000's of poles sold.  When a client experiences this problem, we do try and resolve it as quickly and simply as possible, either by offering a glue kit or collecting the pole and carrying out the work and returning the pole.

We're sorry you have had gluing issues with your clamps.  As previously offered, please contact the Office and we will arrange collection of your CL-X, carry out any work necessary and return it to you.

We are just as frustrated when we learn that a client's pole has caused them problems by a clamp coming unglued, even though it is a very small percentage, and once we are notified make sure the problem is sorted out as quickly as possible.  The factory has been gluing the clamps to our original instructions for some time now so hopefully it will be even less of a problem.

You guys must give your poles a right battering! I have a CLX-27 since they were released & have never had an issue with it. I'd go so far as to describe it as "Robust"!!!

I love it when Gardiners come on here and respond in the professional manner that they do.

I wonder which one of the pre-menstrual moaners on here is Ewan.

Well done Gardiners Adminl.

They must increase the overall flex of the head assembly quite a bit too!

I've been using the QR carbon gooseneck from Gardiners this week, zero flex, zero weight, AWESOME!! ;D
