Its worth every penny in my opinion, I would not be without mine. I have never had a trigger but i am pretty sure i would prefer the aqua-dapter. There is no pole hose loop and you can hold the pole anywhere. My spring broke the other week and i replaced it with the spare one that came with it, I e-mailed aqua-dapter asking if i could have a couple more spare springs. Two days later 2 springs came in the post free of charge. Excellent product and excellent customer service.

That's great to hear chopsie, and I seem to remember it took a while for you to be convinced to try it?

Thanks for your comments, we'll keep trying to provide the same level of service.

I think the A/D are great but not yet fully developed. This though will not prevent me buying more even as they are. The spring would be better if it were a compression spring rather than an expansion spring. Two rivets holding the thread piece rather than one would prevent it wearing and wobbling through time and possibly a slightly longer return arm that is attached to the smaller hidden spring would prevent jamming from time to time.
Overall though, even with it's minor faults, it is still a very good piece of kit and one I will now never be without.

The mk2 does have 2 rivets holding the thread on, that was the problem i have on my mk1's, but the mk2's are a big improvement.

Sorry, I never knew that. I actually do have a mark two but it's on my long pole which is hardly ever used and I have not even noticed this. Apologies to the A/D guys.

Hi Ronnie,

There are a few Mk2s that only have 1 rivet holding the end screw.  These were from the first production run of the Mk2, so I'm not sure whether yours will have 1 or 2 rivets.

Even the Mk2s with one rivet should be OK though.  They were manufactured to a much smaller tolerance to prevent the "wobbling" you mention, and the rivets were upgraded for tougher ones.  There have actually been a couple of minor improvements even since then to rivets and materials etc., but these have been to satisfy ourselves rather than because we have any concerns over the ones that were sent out.

i have been using the a/d for a few months now and was very happy with it until today when the same thing happend the rivit broke and the whole thing fell apart .

not happy especially as i had to cut the end of my slk27 to fit it in the first place now im left with an excellent pole which i carnt use cause i carnt even put a plastic gooseneck on it now

so now ive decided to order gardiners quick release gooseneck and bin the a/d shame cause i thought it was a good idea and it worked well for a while but no where longer enough.

in fact it has cost me over £10 p/m to use it and now the cost of the q/r gooseneck :'(

My aquadapter doesn't shut off properly anymore since I've started using hot water again. I have the MK 2 version and looking for answers. Anyone know how to solve it ???

Hi windowswashed,

The hot water shouldn't make any difference, unless you're saying it only sticks when you're using hot water?

The first thing to do is check the tips on our blog, for instance:

If they don't help, email us and we'll assist you further.
