Hi Matthew,

Yes you can use it with a gooseneck, it must be fitted before the gooseneck (pole > Aqua-dapter > gooseneck).

We've heard of quite a few customers using it this way.

The only thing is that the extra leverage produced by the gooseneck will put strain on the body of the Aqua-dapter, and the end screw, so it needs to be handled carefully when the gooseneck is fitted (e.g. if you dropped the pole onto the gooseneck it would be worse than without it fitted), but this also applies without an Aqua-dapter attached.

In other words it's best if possible not to put too much pressure on the joints with a gooseneck attached (and try not to drop it ;))

Hi Paul, I have the new Gardiner Carbone fibber gooseneck and I am just wondering if you have come up with any new idea to fit these kind of poles?

Hi Bosh, we have the gooseneck from Gardiners and are working on a couple of ideas, but I can't promise a release any time soon, sorry.

We've made some progress on attaching the carbon goosenecks in the last few days, we're hoping to have something workable in the next couple of weeks.  If it's viable for production it will be a short time after that when it's available.  We'll update our blog when it is.

Also we have reduced the price on the Aqua-dapter just for today.  The lower price is in addition to any offer or Coupon Code.

Hi H2,

you need 'Metal Thread' Screw Thread Adapter.  That's assuming your end screw is metal of course!

Hi,

I've replied to H2ose in reply to the email he sent direct to us.

The price is reduced, but only until tonight 2nd Feb (it started last night)!

The Screw Thread Adapter descriptions have changed to hopefully make them easier and more accurate...

  • Plastic Thread (was Standard)
  • Metal Thread (was Gardiner)
  • Brodex Collar (was Brodex)

they are far superior, you dont have to have a loop of pole hose getting caught, and you can put your hands where ever you like on the pole because you dont have to keep your hand on a trigger

Hi Dave,

We have had our VAT registration come through, and this has made the postage that much more expensive unfortunately.

It's "swings and roundabouts" as it really does cost around that us that much to send the individual items, after packaging, postage cost and fulfilment are taken into account (which are all variable costs, depending on number of items, weight, packaging charges etc.), but we give free postage for orders over £100.

I have just reduced the price a little, hope that helps.  Also, make sure you check out our Special Offers page.

Its worth every penny in my opinion, I would not be without mine. I have never had a trigger but i am pretty sure i would prefer the aqua-dapter. There is no pole hose loop and you can hold the pole anywhere. My spring broke the other week and i replaced it with the spare one that came with it, I e-mailed aqua-dapter asking if i could have a couple more spare springs. Two days later 2 springs came in the post free of charge. Excellent product and excellent customer service.
